The Greek traditional dancing group called "Xorostates" participated in a performance which is a traditional cultural event in the city of Thessaloniki, taking place once a year, for charity purpose with the participation of four other groups. The event is called "We Dance for the Life". In 2013, it took place at the Ceremony Hall of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, on March 9th.
The group presented traditional dances from a Thracian region called "Anatoliki Romilia", which is near the northeastern borders of Greece. The particular dance which is presented here by 25 dancers of the group, is called "Tsestos". This is a manly dance which is a kind of "Zonaradikos" as the dancers hold each other by their belts (zonaria).
The Teacher of the group, Mr. Apostolos Skrekas, was in charge of the whole performance.
