Klavierkonzert. Wer ist Lisa, wer ist Khatia??? Vielleicht haben beide den gleichen Vater!
Regarding Ms. Gvetadze, I can only say that imitation is not always the sincerest form of flattery, and that the extreme rubato in the Waltz was not tasteful IMO. She is a gifted player, nonetheless, and the Scherzo was lovely. Ms. Batiashvili and Mr. Capucon are each in my top three (w/Kavakos, Hahn and Isserlis, Weilerstein). These trio performances are wonderful.
No, the pianist is Nino Gvetadze (much less affected than K. Buniatishvili). Yes indeed for Lisa Batiashvili and Gautier Capuçon.
We have a saying in the English language, 'he is eating her alive!' David Taylor
