May Malihan is a TSOM student from the Philippines. Wanting to pursue international studies in Canada, she decided on taking the Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Management Co-op at TSOM.
Back home, May is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. As a young professional, May wanted to expand her horizons and to have a formal education in Hospitality and Tourism. She chose TSOM after learning about its accolade as the Best Hospitality and Tourism Post-Secondary Education Institution in Ontario last 2020. She’s willing to learn the right skills needed to help her family’s catering business in the Philippines.
Now, May is enjoying her studies online with her classmates. She mentions how they were able to conduct group presentations and simulations virtually. She says it’s a whole new experience for her, which makes it more fun. Studying at TSOM makes her feel empowered, thanks to the knowledge and skills she is acquiring to confidently face the corporate world.
