TSU-2200 In a Broadway Limited Imports K4 

"I chose to install a TSU-2200 decoder in my Broadway Limited Imports K4. I picked this engine up a while back. The owner before me had gutted the previous system and converted it back to DC. Luckily when I opened the tender there was already a board that had an 8-pin plug in it. Luckily for me I had a 9-pin JST to 8-pin harness from SoundTraxx on hand. I soldered the purple wires to the speakers that were in the tender. (Fingers crossed they worked). And then I plugged the 8-pin connector in and checked the leads to see if they were in the proper position.
The headlight in the locomotive was soldered to the motor. So with some persuasion, I moved the wires to the place on the harness to match the connection to the decoder. After setting CVs, I got the decoder set up the way I liked. I trimmed the leftover wires so I could use them again if needed. After I got the tender together away she went! In the end, I spent the afternoon on this project and everything went smoothly!" Simon L.
