Tsunami2 decoders have TONs of sounds and features for your model trains. This is great because you can match your decoder to almost any model and make your train run really realistically, but it can be a bit daunting if you are new to Tsunami2 or DCC in general. In this video, George has just finished installing one of our new Tsunami2 8 Function TSU-21PNEM8 decoders into an InterMountain Tier 4. Now he walks you through the process of how he sets up all of his decoders for the trains on his personal layout. For each features he talks about how the feature works, what CVs he changes for it, the values he chooses and why. This is an in depth video and is not a quick watch, but it is packed full of information that will help you get more out of your Tsunami2 decoders and your model train operation sessions in general!
He doesn't go into every feature that Tsunami2 has to offer, but he overviews several big ones that you will want to use most often including:
Sound Selection: Prime mover, airhorn, bells, air compressors and more
Setting up your lighting effects, brightness registers, and function mapping
-Momentum and Braking features and operation
Dynamic Digital Exhaust (DDE) Set up and operation
Function Mapping: moving features to the buttons you want to control them
-7-Band Equalizer: adjust this to maximize your speaker capabilities and improve your locomotive sound
Reverb & Echo settings to add some atmosphere to your layout
