It's amazing how far these cheaper lenses have come. Definitely good value for money

Thanks for your review. I received mine a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the output is.

Quick tip - to confirm 100% whether lens parts are made of plastic or metal, just touch that part to your top lip. Sounds weird but your lip is far more sensitive to temperature/conductivity than your fingers! Give it a try - it's a reliable method 🙂

Eyo this is an interesting tip thanksss!!! Kinda makes sense since glass has more thermal mass than plastic

Hi Nigel, many thanks for this presentation! The Fujifilm X-T3, how does it compare to the Canon R and Nikon Z cameras? Is the color rendition similar? Best wishes, Ralf

Looks like an excellent lens at an excellent price! Just wish it were a bit wider, seeing as I have way too many 50mm equivalent lenses! Just got the Lumix 50mm 1.8 last week in fact. If they can make a similarly impressive 23mm og 25mm, I'll definitely snap it up for my venerable X-E1.

Hi, did you find vignetting in the corners an issue or is there built in correction for jpegs?. Cheers Ian.

Thanks. Im going to buy it. I was planning to buy the xf 35mm 2.0 but I found it to be expensive.

Blur. You mean my crummy plastic reading glasses...By the way, I've been watching your first videos and left a comment about your observer and the observed discussion..

I've got a Fujifilm 35mm f2 and it tapers towards the front to about 1cm narrower than the back, and I think it's somewhat shorter as well, so this lens looks significantly bulkier. I know it's about a third of a stop faster but it still seems a bit on the big side. The typical buyer of this focal length lens would, like me, probably use it as their main or even only lens, so might prefer to go with Fujifilm's own lens even though it about three times the price. I tend to think of budget lenses like this as more suitable for occasional use, or trying out a new or unusual focal length, not as main or only lenses.

TTartisan makes very good lenses. The typical Fuji shooter would be wrong not to seriously consider this lens, even for everyday use.

Hi! I just purchased a industar 50/3.5 lens. And a 39-Fx adapter but it is seemingly "not working" and remains blurry all the time...could you elaborate on the reason for this? It was not so expensive, but I am a bit dissapointed that I cannot immediately get to work with it. Maybe it will work on another camera ?

Hi I bet you have a 39 mm lens that fitted the old zenith b camera that’s probably why it’s blurry try a screw adapter to 42mm on back of lens then get a 49 mm adapter to fit your camera sounds a bit complicated but will probably work 👍👍

Sorry I meant a 42mm adapter for your camera

Ah okai. They must have made a mistake when I asked for m39 lenses
@zenography7923

Which mount is your lens Sophie? If it’s an m42, an m42 to fx should work fine, if the lens is L39 screwmount, then L39 to fx should work. If you have the right adaptor for the lens and it’s still blurry, the lens must be at fault. Be careful not to mix up L39 with M39 too - M39 is a rare SLR mount, completely different dimensions to L39. You can get a small adaptor to turn an M42 into an M39 adaptor.

@@zenography7923 ohh. Yeah I don't know anymore. Maybe it is a L39? The seller told me it was for M39. It is the tiny compact industar lens. Not the highest quality either, and was not so expensive... I have an olympus Zuiko f:38mm lens that works perfectly so am in no rush to experiment. It would be nice if I could find a few good fixed lenses for M39 mount for an easy workflow. Maybe the jupiter3
