@Claire S you only measure with world fame. It's about inspired & the influenced BIG BANG bring to the Kpop industries as whole. That means 3rd, 4th & possiblely 5th Kpop group generations of music style still influenced by BIG BANG. In other word, BIG BANG change the 1st Kpop generation music sound to what Kpop fans heard today. I forgot, BIG BANG still active to create the music.

Dubbed as the kings of kpop for so long and rightfully so but I prefer them as LEGENDS. First group to win an international award back in 2012 for MTV Europe music award. The first group who created the lightstick created by GD the leader now every group has their own lightstick. First group who created their own songs making other companies give their artists that freedom. Honestly I could tell you so many things they did for the Kpop industry but it's gonna be a long paragraph 😂

Definitely legends of Kpop especially when it comes to western-influence and idol hip-hop/rap elements in their music. They're also the group that inspired self-composing within idol groups~ and their experimental sounds definitely played a huge part of what made KPOP is today. They're amazing and cannot be replaced no matter what other people says.

That entire MADE album is fabulous. I did a double take when I saw you reacted to this. I love Bigbang. I don't think they would stab you but they definitely get in more trouble than other Kpop groups. But know that any other group you react to likely said this group or G-Dragon (the dude with the red hair) was their idol.

they're OG's in Kpop. Bigbang debute since 2006 and their songs still iconic until now. you should check their live performance, because they're so different with other group. they have different style, different vibes, different choreo (because they dont even have choreo), different music, and different MV. Big bang,,🥰 many will say and some may not agree,, they are kings and trend setters in their own right!! They took alot of risks in their music,,their look,,style, MVs, and performance.. Because of this ,,groups that are currently rising quickly and doing "their own unique " way have an easier time/less disapproval because big bang broke the mold..big bang dared in a time when no one did and they were very successful in their endeavor..Alot of "first" happened because of this group and we are extremely grateful for those who took notice and made a bigger impact to kpop..they showed that hard work pays off and those young dreamers took a page from them and surpassed it..I have nothing but respect to everyone in kpop..every group..That said,,I recommend a very interesting MV..GDRAGON Who You? It's filmed in a glass room..Very different, very slept on..💁‍♀️

For people who discover kpop now during BigBang hiatus is hard to understand why so many people praise them and call them kings. They think the kpop they see today has always look like this but it actually looks like this largely because of BigBang . They were the first to write, produce their own music, they had the first real rap line ( before the rapper was usually the guy not good enough to be vocalist) , TOP is the first underground rapper to became idol, they were the first to color their hair in bright colors, the first to collaborate with big fashion houses and western artists , the first to have an official lightstick GD invented this kpop symbol, they are all solo artists too , before them if one member wanted to go solo it had to leave the group or wait for it to disband. They changed the industry to the core

i'd say they've got one other song that has a lot of change-ups, though is note as dramatic as this one: Bae Bae (2015) has a "regular" chorus, but the three verses and the bridge are all quite different from each other.

BigBang along with 2NE1 ruled 2nd Gen Kpop and are still considered the Kings and Queens of Kpop. They are even more awesome live. GDragon has completed military service (required in Korea) and we all waiting on the comeback. FYI they out of YG Entertainment same as Blackpink and Jennie's first MV appearance was on a GDragon MV.

@@Newova All of them went to millitary and all of them except Seungri (who left the group last year) are already back. They did not have to break up because of it, they're still together. They were supposed to have their comeback stage at coachella this year but that did not obviously happend because of corona. But they'll be back sooner or later.

First to mixed different types of music in one song like EDM,HIP HOP,TRAP...(lik eyou see in this song). First who has the biggest fashion,swag style.First who makes their own music( today new groups do it also but before producers did it)...and many other things. They will be KINGS 4EVER no matter what!! End of the story! BIGBANG won't stab you, but they sure are one heck of a rebel in KPOP. And I mean they won't just follow the big guns, they made their own path, did things others won't even dare to do, and set trends that influenced many young aspiring idols to hopefully become just like them, while the whole Kpop idol industry followed. Some of the things they did, didn't sit well with their conservative society, that's why there's a love and hate relationship when it comes to BIGBANG. But no matter what, they will always love their music. Even when they aren't active right now, their presence and influence can still be felt. Check out their subunit (Taeyang and G-Dragon) performance at MAMA 2014, G-Dragon dissed the award show during his intro performance.

3 three change up... that's why it's called bang ..bang.. bang well now many artist try this kind of sudden changing beat but not usuall.. and big bang did it very claver way and become so iconic...you get what i mean?? because of this song .. other artists start trying similar way of combining different beats in K pop.. so you can say that they are trend setter
