I bougth this lens few days ago and I'm still testing. By now the lens behaves very well against the sun light, chromatic aberration seems super low and very sharp. By now amazing for the price I spent!
TTArtisans has been getting better all the time. But when I wanted a 56mm, aNd couldn’t justify the price of the Fujifilm lens, I bought the Sigma. I am very happy with it. Unfortunately, it too has no aperture ring. But when I mount it on my Xpro3 or my xt5, the rear command dial on my cameras becomes the aperture selector.
Amazon has it listed for $168. And out of stock. I have a couple TTArtisan lens, the 27mm F2.8 and 35mm F1.8, both auto-focus. I am just a hobbyist and they work fine for me.
Hey Booray, if it us for $160 i think it's worth it. Apart from the Purple Frindging the image quality Was good, and i really liked the Black and White picture of the House shot at F/11, it was very clear. Thanks for showing us this new lens, much appreciated. 😊📸
Good question. I don't have a filter I can use to test it but I would certainly hope so. It would seem silly to not be able to but then I have X100V lens hoods that don't work if there is a filter....
I didn't test it. I honestly don't pay much attention to corner sharpness wide open because if I'm wide open it's a good bet that the corners aren't on the same focal plane anyway.
