I met these young men about five years ago at Fred On Em’s studio in Houston Texas. They were dripped in jewels and you could tell that they were successful. I asked who these brothers were and I was told they were The Amigos. I didn’t know much about them then and I don’t know much about them now. I do know that as I began to converse, I noticed that they were humble, quiet and respectful. They were much different from a lot of artist I’ve been around these days. Hell, I don’t recall them toting bottles or puffing weed. I remember that they would answer my questions with yes sir or no sir ( I was around fifty two at the time ). They really left a good impression on me. My artist at the time, who didn’t have a pot to piss in nor a window to throw it out of, developed an unwarranted attitude against these guys. He was hating big time. They noticed but stayed cool. We finished our session and made our way to my car. It was then that my artist realized he left his phone in the studio. This is when instant karma kicked in. He knocked on the glass door and about five minutes later, one from the group came to the door and threw his hands up like “ What’s up?” My artist responded that he needed his phone. Dude pointed to his ears as if he could not hear him and walked away. We, in the car, realized then, what was about to transpire. Once again, the same outcome. About twenty five, thirty minutes later, someone finally opened the door for him. It was well worth the wait.
