Or just cut the springs so it's lower, but still has some give over bumps. lower COG, more stability. At the speeds he's starting to get into, one little bump can send you sliding down the road, especially on these little bikes.
Unless removing the air mix screw is some trick I've not heard of...it isn't going to do anything for you except at idle...you might be able to adjust the needle for mid-throttle fuel delivery, but it isn't going to make any particular difference for WOT...you need a larger jet, in the end...if you didn't put one in previously. Spark plug might give you an idea if you're running lean or not.
yeah that’s what I thought, but zoomin has the air mix screw trick for backfires but it wouldn’t do shit WOT. he should’ve moved the e clip on the slider up a couple notches for more fuel
@@PureBrush12 Street tires are always bigger and heavier. Do the math yourself. 90% of the time street tires will make it slower. Street tires make it smoother and better around corners.
ok i'll give you a few tips because this its been pretty fun to watch go back with the carburetor thing. to keep heat under control, air cooled engines use more fuel to cool down the combustion chamber. for efficiency you want to hit a mix of 14.7 parts of air per 1 part of fuel, but you get ideal power at 12 - 13 parts per 1 of fuel. on air cooled engines this doesn't really matter because they already run richer than that 10 - 12 of air per 1 of fuel. adding more fuel just takes up space that could instead taken up by air which increases power. doesn't mean you should run the leanest mix, that might actually melt the engine pretty quickly. what im saying is leave it as it was stock. the idea of a ram air intake sounds like the best approach for more power. your helmet is also not aerodynamic at all and the same goes for your clothing. keep in mind the rider accounts for most of the aerodynamic drag on a motorbike. anything that flaps in the wind generates as much if not more resistance than a straight wall so make sure to wear tight clothes or just take off your shirt.
hilarious part is these things are everywhere in countries like india and turkey, the same ideas on a CG bike. Sometimes its done with hondas sometimes chinese cg bikes. Also removing that screw from the carb will led to it overheating real fast, get a temp gauge if you want to be safe. Nice project 👍
Taking the visor off your helmet would be good for a few mph. I know at 85 on the interstate i have to use one hand to hold down my helmet tightly keep from blowing back and looking at the sky.
Put skinny low rolling resistance street tyres on it and run them at a higher PSI, Put the standard suspension springs and shocks back in its too dangerous at high speeds without them!, Lowering the bike has very little effect compared lowering your body position, You can drastically reduce your aerodynamic drag by lowering/flipping the handlebars to put yourself in a more aerodynamic position the same way cyclists do on a road bicycle, If you want to go even further get some cafe racer/moto gp style bars that tuck down below the gas tank and you will be flying haha, Even just taking the visor off your helmet would make you a little faster haha
@zoominalways you should put the nos hoes in the air fuel screw bit if it goes all the way through like hollow if not then like right at the entrance of the carb
a 110 main jet will give you some more up top. maybe even 120 or 130 if you are spraying it. Vm 24 carb from a kx65 wakes this motor up big time. Same jetting as stock
Slamming it makes the tires rub on the plastics which makes the bike work harder so less speed I think u will get at least 10+ mph if you put the suspension back on 🙏
