I love how the Grey Knight bashes through a wall not because of heresy, but for another random reason, implying that is the way he usually enters rooms
@@KnownNiche1999 In the short story Sacrifice, they use an entire man's worth of blood to bless one bolt round, so I wouldn't be surprised if he needed all of the battle sister's blood
I am *supremely **_pleased_* that you kept the headbutting. Also, only the Sister was a heretic since she was actually tempted. So the Grey Knight was in the right for doing so.
I believe some guardsmen regiments are also exempt, krieg and cadian I believe: cause either A: they know what chaos is and are strong willed enough to not fall to the common corrupting elements, or are so fanatical they cannot give any less of a shit about it. B: they can simply be redeployed to the nearest meat grinder, no issue due to reason A: but this mostly just applies kriegsmen. C: in cases like the lucifer blacks, the custodian verison of imperial guardsmen, it is something they are almost specifically trained against or are too valued to be killed.
The brief shot at "Oh Hold on", really adds to the context as to _why_ the Gray Knight Shot the sister. It looked like she had shot up a _Loyal_ Imperial Commissar, a Space Marine, and a Guardsman to acquire the Heretical document.
No, he said "Oh hold on," because he was originally there to wash himself in her pure blood to protect himself against a Bloodthirster ("Sister, I need your blood to--"), then found out that wouldn't work because she had made herself "impure" by reading the document. It's reference to a very infamous example of terrible lore writing in the Grey Knights codex. In it, the GKs mass-murdered many thousands of innocent Sisters just so they could anoint themselves in their blood to somehow protect themselves against a Bloodthirster, even though at that scale the Sisters would have likely been more useful if they were alive. It was ridiculously over the top even for the Imperium and 40k. More importantly, it infringed on another beloved faction's "cool factor" just to artifically make the GKs seem cooler, even though it really just made them look stupid and desperate.
@@CrizzyEyes TBH that just makes the joke work on multiple levels. It both looks like he has a legit reason to kill her, but he was going to murder her anyways.
@@callofhaloinfinite6336 That was one of their stated specialties, yes, but for some reason in this scenario, the Sisters had been kept alive by the power of their faith in the Emperor, so naturally the GKs decided that they should perform a blood ritual using the Sisters' blood to fight a blood god. There were about a million ways to get to this outcome (Sisters dead, GKs defeat the Bloodthirster) in a way that both made more sense and was less disrespectful towards the Sororitas, but for some reason Matt Ward or one of his subordinates decided a totally pointless sacrifice was a good way to cap off years of Sororitas humiliation and torture fetishism. It was the straw that broke the camel's back for SoB fans. Thankfully that bit of lore was retconned but I believe it was still in effect when the TTS video was made.
I love how the problem is already solved as the Grey Knight doesn't turn into heretic in the end, but the higher command still decided to nuke the planet. Truly a Warhammer 40k moment😂
Neat detail how the guardsman and commissar only needed one shot to kill then but the space marines and battle sister needed multiple since they are super soldiers and have better armor
@lunaticisbaked8760Tbf, he shot her with a Storm Bolter. It's a twin-linked full-size Bolter. Even on semi-auto, it's *two* barrels of effectively a Heavy Bolter. No Human-scale power armor is going to stop that kind of firepower, especially not at point-blank range.
I normally just say "there's a bunch of different alien races and they all hate each other but especially you. And that's because you're a human and humans are the WORST." 🤣
@@noonenowhere877Nah, the Dark Eldar aren't numerous enough to be the worst. They're sort of like the razorblade of nasty, whereas the Imperium is more like the big spiked club of nasty.
@@Asterion_Mol0c I wouldn't say the Imperium are mid-tier at all. They're the sort of bureaucratic evil that I feel are worse than the sort of evil that just wants to spit roast you in more ways than one.
This is brilliant, a lovely reminder of the gold mine that was TTS, only thing I'd suggest is that maybe for the comedic effect have more a detailed and exaggerated face of rage for when they about to execute someone for heresy.
I still love how all these characters felt the need to smash a hole in the wall when they enter. You made it even better by putting them right next to the earlier holes.
bro i just realized what the grey knight needed the sister's blood for. there was a random section of lore where fo whatever reason the grey knights were fighting demons and sisters were there. instead of fighting along side the sisters, like a reasonable suggestion, they killed all of the sisters and covered themselves in blood to gain even more protection from demons.
Honestly considering the Sisters of Battle don't like the Astartes it wouldn't surprise me if the Astartes was already dead halfway through that volley and she was just shooting his corpse because of her sheer level of hate.
@@anthonyrodriguez8788 Since when did the sister of battle not like the astartes? They are HIS angels, does that make the emperor a fucking mutant too in their eyes?
@@AgeofGuns Careful, pointing out the hypocrisy of the Emperor's cult is a good way to get a Bolt shell through the brain. The Sisters have a wide variety of opinions on the Astartes ranging from reverence to hatred, the most common is pity due to them being tainted meat and being incapable of experiencing true devotion to Big E in their eyes.
@@AgeofGunsthey don't think they're as dedicated to the emperor because they're immortal super soldiers who can't be afraid They really like guardsmen though, because they very much can be afraid but still serve the emperor
Tbf to the Inquisitor, seeing a bunch of your forces just murdering each over and over would give reason to believe there is some chaos shenanigans going on, like either Khorne's made them all go blood hungry or tzeentch pulling of one of his schemes.
What doesn't get discussed often is that this was an operation with: An active Guard Regiment A group of Sororitas The freaking Ultramarines AND the Grey Knights all within immediate reach. Not to mention having an Inquisitor in orbit with the clearance to order an exterminatus. Almost seems like a foregone conclusion if shit was THAT badly fucked.
In the tts lore is it officialy canon that having a single copy of a single page of fifthy shades of grey is enough to destroy an entire planet. Perfect. Its just like real life.😊
its kinda fitting in the 40k lore lol, if i had a dollar for every single planet fullied with resources that the empyre wasted with an exterminatos i would be freaking rich
Yo this is a perfect copy and paste of the original "theemperorcodex" yt channel, it gave off the same vibe as the original and it perfectly matched the raw rage from each character, only thing to say about this is , the emperor approves this animation.
Commisar: "How do you plead heretic!?" Me: "Commisar! I have retrieved this ithem, which is supposed to tempt you to Slaanesh! Luckily my faith in Emperor is strong and I shall continue on my duty, to deliver this object to the Inquisition for it's contaiment or even destruction, sir!"
