Can you explain correct usage please as im receiving infringements.Tacho used us vdo.This is how i have been doing it.Arrive at port and put to rest.When about to board put ferry mode to start.Board then put back to rest.When coming to disembarking i still have boat symbol showing so drive off a park up.Put back on rest and finish rest required then ferry end.Should i be ending ferry mode when i drive onto boat then start it again when im disembarking? My rest goes back to zero when i go onto boat so im losing my rest ive had before embarking
You have to switch the "ferry-mode" on when you are on the boat. You have to stop the vehicle, then turn on the "ferry-mode" and stop the engine. When you start driving off the ferry the tachograph automatically will switch of the "ferry-mode". Also the number of the movements (only 2 movements allowed) can be a problem. Unfortunately there are lots of port when impossible to do that properly.
I've done that. At 05:14 . "When you start driving the ferry mode will be automatically switched off." You can switch it off if you want but the tachograph will do that for you, so you don't need to touch it.
