It kind of depends. If your hunt is very short then cham can probably keep the monster poisoned the whole time ~3-5 min. Beyond that length Serpent seems more practical to me. I prefer to use the serpent all the time. I find I'm able to keep poison up decently in 2 player hunts with the amount of poison on the Serpent. There's a good comment here about running master's touch with Serpent and I think it might work out great.
Teostra's Hellebarde can probably swap into the blast build if you prefer element phial since it has the similar slots. Probably does less but more comfy with element phial. Can potentially remove Power Prolonger + wirebug if not needed too.
For power phial builds, I’d argue over swapping Kaiser horns for Risen Kushala if your not running status trigger, as the wind mantle significantly boosts wirebug recovery to spam counters. With status trigger, Risen Kushala greaves as they give more to burst over the vambraces. Note that Burst still doesn’t affect blast ailment, so it’s less of a focus on those switch axes
Thanks you so much for these builds, and especially the Exhaust build... After I crafted it, I started rolling for good augments, and I managed to get Buildup Boost 3 on it! PLUS! Since I had Evade Extender 2, WEX2, 2-1 talisman, I was able to roll for Skill+ on one of the toaster armors, which helped. I also managed to get blood rite which allowed me to drop one point of CE. Then, I noticed I could replace the Cham Pants with Flaming Pants if I managed to roll BB in tradeoff with Burst... And after a lot of rolls, I'm happy to announce I've succeeded on that today! And now this build includes intrepid heart! It's truly a perfect mix of confort and dps, and I'll use it until i decide to craft the elemental builds, which I decided to do it once I reach AR181. Thanks you again for this.

another skill to aim for is grinder (S), it works well with protective polish and improves both raw and elemental damage, it does it by pushing your sharpness even further beyond. works the best with sharpness meaters with little to no white level sharpness.

Excellent work! While I have a good handle on the basic concepts, it's very nice to see a solid reference like this one. Even with augments, guides like yours provide important milestones for people to judge where their builds stand. I wonder about the Exhaust build, I used to be totally enamored with Exhaust, but is the damage sacrifice too great? BuP 1 gives you an amazing 10% raw yes, but Power Phials are 15% out the gate right? So the Poison Build seems SIGNIFICANTLY stronger as it's 15% from power phial + 1/3 chance for BuP. Being able to take advantage of Foray also seems like a huge boon for the poison build, the up time is virtually 100% with Cham Blessing.
You’re not wrong, buildup boost allows exhaust to at least be comparable. However power phials get to double dip in a sense as you’re saying. Also power phial benefits slightly more from phial switch boost(sword morphs do more damage). Poison + foray is indeed kind of crazy and when everything stacks up the damage is really high. Whether the sacrifice is too great depends on how much you value the effects of exhaust and the quick amp time.
Great video, exactly what i was looking for 🎉 My only problem is i cant fight/build the risen ones yet. Can i just build the standard versions of the pieces instead until i can fight them ?
I think those pieces might not work.. the chaotic gore head and body could be a temporary substitute I think. Flaming espinas legs perhaps for the chameleos
Nice builds - a little surprised to see a base build WITHOUT Attack Boost. I was lucky enough to have an RM 3, WW2 2-1-1 charm, Power Prolonger on my Gold Rathian arms, and several LV1 slots on my augmented armors, so I could add more skills. It seems like Kushala Blessing 3 is now up there with Defiance 3 and Speed Sharpening 3 as my favorite filler skills now...
Yeah, foray is the attack boost in a sense in the poison one. Holy smokes that charm is sweet! If augments and charm are good enough should be able to at least fit attack boost 4 somehow.
so i got lucky and have an attack boost 3 crit eye 2 talisman with a 2 slot and a 1 slot. should i just replace the 2 expert jewles with agitator or more attack boost? for the exhuast build
Wow, that is the most ideal talisman for a lot of SA builds right now. Definitely Attack boost. Ideally your augments can make way for making it to attack boost 7.
Thanks for the upload! I've been trying to figure out powder mantle to implement into my poison swax build but it's a hard decision 😪 lol I running golden rath (helm, waist) risen chamelios (chest, ams) and archfiend legs. If I try to implement powder mantle I could loose out on good damage 💔 but with this upload of yours it's giving me some ideas to make a separate poison build👍

Can I invest my Risen helm and Risen Mail's slots for attack boost skills? Im more into maxing out AB rather than CE... Tell me if Im missing something here
Video on the channel discussing the difference but the jist of it is if you get crit boost 3 the investment into crit eye or attack boost ends up being very close. If you prefer you can probably put the points into attack instead and get to attack 6/7 with crit eye 5. The outcome should be similar in the end.
I just checked my zenny and noticed it has cut in half since this update and how much I've spammed augments. Yikes. Honestly I've just been sitting on a stockpile from all the platinum/gold/silver eggs I got from quests up until this point. The old mining routes seem like a fine way still, but also I believe there is an event quest that rewards a bunch of money eggs.
@@AifritGaming the mining routes seem to work the best but i don't find it that fun to do. The crab arena event quests gives mostly silver and gold eggs and is super fast to do. So to get a good amount of zenny i would need to do it like 10 times in a row which gets very boring
Main reason is because the build is now crit focused and uses crit boost. The negative affinity ended up putting it behind reconqueress when built this way.
Hey, at the end of the blast build segment you said, "using the same gear set from my exhaust build, i was able to get buildup boost 3 and attack boost 7", could you show that build off? To me it just looks better in general.
At the moment it is not a priority for me but I suspect I will take a closer look at it eventually. For max sweat it seems really dangerous to play. The "invicible" style I can believe that it's quite good but I've never been that interested in immortal type builds and it feels like that's what this casual berserk build actually is.
It’s random chance like everything else is what I understand. Super good to get but how long to get it… Took me about 150 attempts I think but everyone will be different. I believe we’ll get decos some day but for now.. pain as you said.
Now that crit is more viable and that Master touch gets a level 4 deco, is it viable to build Master Touch instead of protective polish? Since we already have max crit anyway it should be good.
Some quick math off the top of my head with 90% affinity and master's touch.. in 10 hits we should expect to lose ~3 hits of sharpness. Remobra is 30 hits so it could potentially last 100 hits with master's touch? Sure sounds good to me. Scorned mag 20 hits of purple which is then roughly 66/67 hits? Gets better if affinity can be capped. I think in element/exhaust builds this looks worse since we typically get slivers of purple but for any case where we have a reasonable number of hits it seems viable.
Sounds pretty good if you are skilled enough to maintain good WEX up time. Also it might not work for ZSD playstyles right? I think the ZSD ticks don't crit, so Protective Polish is still critical.
Nice builds! I love my posion switch axe. I run status trigger combined with wire step. Wire step makes it super super easy to have status trigger activated 100% of the time and makes for a very fun playstyle
Yeah I love status trigger too! I want to also take a look at wind mantle since it will reduce wirebug recovery significantly to be able to wire step a lot but also counter a lot. Combined with Buildup boost and adrenaline rush being augmentable I see a lot of potential!
Yeah, that sounds right. A lot of other weapons’ “evade” techniques like fade slash don’t proc status trigger for some reason. Wire step makes it somewhat reasonable to do.
Hey there! I used the normal augment. Chances of it really aren't great. Good luck if you're still trying but I'd recommend you hit a different decent augment or the double slot upgrade you can hang on to that. There's just a pretty huge pool of skills now and it'll be luck at the end of the day. I did multi target high * investigations to bring in a lot of essences.
