Man, please. Trent Dilfer ain't changing Tua's life. Guy didn't get an invite to Elite 11 by having a lot of doubters and no talent. He told him he need to work harder on some things.
@@mickeylynch8982bum mentality. It doesn't matter how talented you are, at that level everyone is talented. Whoever puts in the work to realize their potential...that person goes far.
Nobody should never ever question Tua's work ethic once so ever!!! Tua also came back from his hip injury career threatening injury and worked his way back in a shorter time than expected and played football on it with a 60%hip!! Don't ever question Tuas work ethic again!! Look at what Tua is doing right now!! I hope Tua sees this and he continues to work very hard at his craft everyday and am glad Tua has done the hard work and sure am proud of Tua to see his hard work payoff now and these haters I don't understand it especially Dolphins fans I don't get it. Tua's biggest concern is to win not individual achievements even though that will come all Tua cares about is winning and do whatever he can to get his team to the ultimate goal and that's to Win a championship. Fins Up!! Thank you
@@KingloTRG yeah but you can’t hate on your team for a decision they made. You gotta support that decision. And whoever isn’t a tua fan obviously doesn’t watch him play and just watch first take😂
This is what this next generation is missing , being challenged to be great and not propped up with false compliments to avoid hurting their feelings . He was faced with a choice to grow or be in Denial and he did the hard work and it paid off.
Kudos for Trent telling Tua what he needed to hear and kudos to Tua and his fam for working on those things! Imagine if everyone who's been told what they need to work on actually worked on those things and didn't get butthurt!
@@electra4002It’s an abbreviation for the common Samoan expression, meaning ugly stupid ogre. It’s a major insult for any Samoan to be called that, and a very rude and hateful thing to say about a nice young man like Tua. If he called Tua that out loud, in his native land, Tua would be forced to fight him, whether he wanted to or not, in order to defend the honor of his tribe, and the winner’s family would feast on the flesh of the loser. Any female siblings of the loser would then become a part of the winner’s tribe, and the men would all celebrate their great victory together, by making love to the women violently. You don’t call another man that on Samoan land, unless you seriously hate him, and are prepared to die fighting him, or, I suppose, you have a big crush on his sister, and you’re a lot bigger than he is.
Just like you give them negative reinforcement when they mess up, you give them positive reinforcement when they listen and get better. Or in his case become the best at it.
What's funny is that in a recent Hard Knocks episode, Mike McDaniel was talking on the sidelines and saying he was watching a video of Tua at the Elite 11 and said "Man, your fundamentals were trash!" Don't know if he was looking at the footage that Dilfer was getting on him for or the after.
That's not proving ppl wrong, genius. Nobody said he couldn't do it in this. He improved tremendously. How bout you promote "bettering yourself" instead of proving ppl wrong. Your own motivation will always beat motivation influenced by others
I never liked Trent Dilfer but dude is a super bowl winning QB. So if he wants to talk to high school kids, i dont see a problem with that. In fact it look like it motivated him the way they present this
I get what coach was doing at the end. Building his player back up after breaking him down with constructive criticism. But you wasnt wrong because Tua worked on everything you criticized him on. Was there more he said about him in the doc?
Make me wonder what Tua did to get yelled at like that in front of everyone. Man if anyone talks to me like that in front of everyone I would never show back up lol
Trent Dilfer Qb B. Ravens will always be remembered as the worst S.B QB in the NFL, but that's why he will ALWAYS be REMEMBERED THOUGH better than not at all.
I get this criticism as Dilfer was no where near as good as Tua has already shown. But those who cant do teach and it obviously helped mold Tua to what he is now.
Kinda wonder why he picked him outta the whole camp to tell bro wasnt disciplined, kinda seems odd mayn he should explain what he saw that lead him to believe that
He wasn’t wrong though. He saw what Tua needed to work on & called it out. Tua worked to improve on those things. Coach made him dig deep to make himself the best player he could be. That’s why he’s a good coach.
@@IEdjumacatefr I would much rather a coach point out areas of my game that I’m lacking in instead of getting a half hearted “good job”. You have to know your weaknesses to improve
Tua's footwork, ball handling, and accuracy are now on full display. Tua's elite talents are being inserted into a offense that uses motion, deft ball handling to put defenses in conflict.
I’m die hard Bama and I woulda given anything to see wear crimson for just one more season… I literally felt robbed and cut short of the opportunity to get to see him play all of his eligibility at the college level… and you had better not be late gettin to the game cause there was a good chance the first half was all he got to play… it wasn’t out of the norm whatsoever to see a 17/19 326 passing yds with 4 TD passes to 4 different receivers… AND there would still be 1:02 remaining on the clock: 1:02 remaining in the 1st qtr that is… Tua defines winner… he is infectious and sincere in everything he does… and he does it from a genuine perspective that cares about the good of humanity… and the dude is as humble as anyone (especially a pro athlete) and any one you’ll ever meet… when the pregame highlights on the big screen are shown before every home game at Bryant Denny, I still cannot hold back the chill bumps and my eyes fill with tears of joy EVERY SINGLE TIME they show the 2nd & 26 TD pass to seal the deal for the Natty…!!! RTR and Go Dolphins… Tan Marino will be a legend…
At that point in your life, it takes a man to call you out on your weak points when everyone around you is just embracing your positives. I’ve seen so many athletes fail due to them being surrounded by those who won’t call out or can’t see their weak points. Trent did him a major favor.
So Tua was a very talented but undisciplined QB. Trent Dilfer then calls him out. Tua starts to then become more disciplined and focused. Does great things as a QB. Now you’re trying to tell me he proved Dilfer wrong? Looks to me like he proved him right. But that’s just me. 😂😂
Dilfer was right originally, then Tua worked hard and changed himself from undisciplined to super disciplined, to the point where even Dilfer was like damn, this kid is DIFFERENT. It’s a great story all around. We will see this clip replayed in like 10-15 years after Tua achieves more and more
