Stumbled upon your channel. Glad I did! Dig your honest approach and style. For a year, I’ve been angsting about my rig. I play an acoustic, and sing, solo, through a Roland acoustic amp. I pick it apart in my head, but people who hear it just like the songs. As you say, they don’t care about my gear. I’ve tried to play my Tele through it because I want light and flexible. Other people say, “Sounds good!” But I hate the tone one day and love it the next. I think I want an Iridium and frfr speaker for singing, acoustic, and electric. Minutes later, I want a tube Princeton. Seconds after that, I want a Tonemaster. Returned and gave away several amps. No idea what to do. Anyway, I subscribed and will continue to research and angst over decisions until I eventually decide to get nothing. I’m rambling again. Thanks for sharing like a real person. Wish I could just sit and discuss gear with you over coffee!

I keep trying to like modellers. Ive been back and forth trying to get them to work for me, but I always miss the sound and feel of tubes. Also, I like the idea of fewer options- its less distracting that way.
That does make sense, I get those same types of feelings when I haven't played a tube amp for a long time. When you do go to play one after such a long period, the feel really blows you away. Having fewer options too is definitely less stressful.
To me, a Tube amp with a couple of pedals sounds the best! But in terms of convenience and price, going with Solid State or Modeling amp makes more sense for most players... Great vid man!😊👌
