Tubes, Tabs, and making a Trunk on my Baja (Mauler #6)

Hello Fabricators,
In this video I roll some tubes for the inside of Maulers new chassis. Then I make some tabs to secure the roof, and finally I cut in a trunk for access over the engine.

It's already Christmas Day here in Oz 🇦🇺 and enjoyed the update. That's enough present for me. I would get a body file to work out the ripples though. Why not use Zeus fasteners? I would think those body panel bolts will easily loosen up

I hate Zeus fasteners.... lol. (let me explain) I know they're awesome, and in the right situation they're great. But I have trouble getting them tight and quiet. So for situations like this I like to have body washers. These I can snug up and usually get the panels to be pretty quiet. I use blue Loctite on mine, so they don't loosen up.

Nice work Mike. One suggestion, I would place an additional tab (or make a big tab with two holes) on each side of the rear window cut. This way you place a fastener on each side of the parting line front to rear. The setup you have now is simple and looks great but won't hold well under the stresses of off road driving.
