I used to play in a golf society with Martin. Lovely guy. He's still got that slice of his. And he's still a bloody bandit! He was a 20 handicap 5 years ago!
Tubes, I am currently struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and whilst I can’t get on the golf course every day, I love the channel and your enthusiasm. Hope it gets better for me too. Keep doing what you’re doing mate x
James just scrolling through the comments and can i just say how brave and commendable it is you opening up on your battle, this channel helps me through other things too and i wish you all the best with everything 👊🏻 keep fighting pal better days will definitely come 🧡👊🏻👊🏻
Get yourself to CA mate you’ll never look back. I have been where you are I am now 405 days clean and sober thanks to Ca and have my own meeting. Message me
Just felt the need to echo previous comments about your bravery in opening up about your struggles. Stay strong my friend and I wish you all the very best
Took up Golf last year at 62yrs old after suffering a Heart attack and cardiac arrest, believe it or not, it's been great for my mental health, iv'e got the bug, just love watching these guys, great fun and also a Sutton boy.
Been a fan of the channel for a while and I think the biggest fundamental problem which leads to Tubes’ inconsistency is the fact he doesn’t consistently properly transfer his weight through the follow through and finish with his weight on that left foot. A lot bad shots I’ve seen are where Tubes’ weight is still mostly on his back foot and leaning back which causes bad ball striking i.e. topped, thin shots and etc. A good drill for this, which I heard Tommy Fleetwood talking about was the stamping of the left foot to initiate the follow through to encourage proper weight transfer and finishing with the weight on that foot. Also would love to get on the subscriber challenge, I’m a 16 handicapper from Bishop’s Stortford.
Also looks like he doesn't keep the club in front of the hands during the takeaway. Would love to play you guys but Australia might be a stretch for them.
Been watching forever now, and love the channel, and the fact you have celebs and subscribers . May I add tubes Has improved massively ,and putting is unreal.
@@SocialGolfMedia Hello mate, yeah we should do although I’ve not played in over a year due to work and buying a house etc… but would be good to get back out again!
Pre shot routine Tubes, set the club face first then your feet. Helped me no end pal. I set the club face lining up perpendicular to target with feet together the small step with left foot and slightly bigger step with right foot. Wish I could remember who shared that bit of advice.
The driver skying is due to hitting down at the ball which means it flies off the top edge (your supposed to hit it up). Someone mentioned you falling back in shots which is true also but that will usually cause topping of the ball and/or fat shots. When Ange hits the ball he hinges his wrists which I notice you don’t do yet - that’s why when he connects he hits it much further (it’s not because you are not as strong).
I think that Tubes needs to relax his grip somewhat. Looks like he has a load of tension in his hands that transfers through to the wrists, arms and entire swing, resulting in a ‘jerky’ motion.
Yes agreed he uses his arms to try to power the ball and you can often see him falling backwards at the end of the shot. He also has quite a wide stance on every shot regardless of what club is used. To be honest he’s done very well to be an 18 handicap but the putting is definitely a big help in that.
Think it’s actually the opposite. He sometimes hits the floor/fats his irons. He comes in scraping the ground and roofs it. Needs to be teed lower or ball further forward
Once again another great episode, love the content as always!! I would love to get you and the channel up to the Cavendish Golf Club "the course that inspired augusta" 😅 designed by The legend Alistair McKenzie! 🤞
Just a little tip tubes. When you hit your 7 iron in this video the ball looked really back in your stance. Just move your stance so it’s in the middle 👍👌
I use the pink castle tees and sometimes my drives head skywards and when that happens I tend to drop down to a white castle tee for the rest of the round. When I start topping the ball I move back to the pink. Works for me 🤣
Great video again! Top top content love it! I think when your sending the gold balls to orbit is because you come up on the ball. If you watch the shots you send to space your feet come off the floor and your leaning back. The best lesson I had with driver was instead of swinging it like a baseball, imagine your pulling a chain down on your downswing!
Some good golf played there! If you fancy a Scotland trip I'd love to get a game with you guys at Pitreavie. Some of the boys I play with are great entertainment value! 😅
Would love to get a game with you two I have been playing golf for just over a year. Love the channel tubes and Ange crack me right up great blokes. Hope to get a game soon
Hello gents. Tubes you were asking for some help. I’m no expert lol. From what I can see you play most of your shots with the ball nearer your back foot. When using driver the ball should be just inside your front foot. This will also help with your irons as you tend to sweep the ball rather than dig it with a steep downward swing. Again I’m no expert. Lol. Great vid as always.
Great vid with your subscribers. They must have been picked so you got a pass on their course. It's an amazing track. You should do some vids at local courses such as Clandom golf, Epsom golf course and Horton. These courses are affordable and would make a good video. Courses that normal people can afford to play and also hopefully encourage others to start. If you ever want to play Epsom my 7 year old niece will give you a game.
It honestly is the castle tees man.. you connect with the ball quite well on the up swing.. you hit well on the up swing.. so you dont need that height from the tee..give a white wooden tee a go..
I also went through a phase of skying my driver and believe I was coming over the ball too much so swapped to more of a baseball type sweeping motion and fingers crossed so far has cured it
The high shots are due to the Universe knowing you use a castle tee, lol. Also need to hold your position at the end of a shot rather than spinning around like a dancer 🤣. Great video again
Tubes if you need advice on how to stop sending your drives to space and to gain better hope shape. Follow these couple of things. Ensure your not teeing it up too high, you should have no more than half the golf ball above the top of your Driver. Next thing, ball position in your stance your perhaps set up wrong the ball should be in-line with the inside of your left heel. Whereas I think it's to central for you at the moment and that's why your hitting it on the way down rather than the upswing. Oh a little trick I use is dipping your right shoulder tho helps you to hit through the ball. Keep up the cracking content. Love to get on and do a subscribers match I'm a 15 handicap. Cheers
This is true, that’s why I like a tee you can adjust the height to better control the height of the ball flight and binned the castle tee. But more significantly in a lot of Tubes’ swings, he doesn’t consistently transfer his weight through the swing and most of his weight is still on his back foot. Which causes you to lean back so you’re more likely to hit thin shots, sky drivers and top the ball.
@@adammcleod1707 That's very true! I hit a much better shot when I transfer my weight; you see Tubes falling off his shots a lot and they tend to be the least pure ones he hits. He's already a picker with his shots, so not transferring weight through will almost always cause a shot to be topped or fatted.
If you ever find yourself in the South West, you should come down to Woodbury (between now and October as it's not so good in the wet), and play a round!
Tubes when you go high your leaning back. Your back shoulder goes down and you don’t finish in front foot. Try the 1,2,3 and make sure you follow through your ball 👍👍👍
If you come played me and my pal jim at Richmond on our track! That would be the content you’ve wished for😂 proper banter proper golf, same handicap! Loving life
Loving the content Tubes and Ange great course but wow had a look on there site for visitors must have 20 or below to play there and £175 a round . Not for average joe’s this one
Two of the biggest bandits in the history of the channel. 😂 If you ever want to play another stunning course from the same designer, get yourselves down to Knole Park in Sevenoaks.
I’d say you skying he driver is either 1, or a combination of these 2 things. 1. The tee is slightly too high and it’s causing you to catch the ball on the top of the face. 2. Angle of attack is too steep. Yes you want to hit up on the golf ball with driver but could be it’s too much. Then if both of those are only slightly the reason it will be magnified. Hope this helps. Would love to have yous in Ireland some day for a match!
Looks a great course, and always love watching the guys, this one was a tad tedious, need more laughter as in all the vids I have watched..don't make this the norm Tubesy....
