You ever finish that box?? I’m working on a 1955 craftsman 8 drawer bottom and I need to rivet the handles back on. I don’t want to use pop rivets though. Where can we get this darn tool?????
The Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle from Idea made in the 70s requires 3 tubular rivets which I've already got. If you remember how they look or find an image of one one the internet you'll see that the gyro gears are in a mechanism that appears to be some kind of metal or aluminum. On the outside of that is two shells of plastic that cover the mechanism. These two shells have 3 tubular rivets going through them and the gears inside. The rivets are rolled on the end to hold the plastic cycle together over the mechanism with gears in it. I'm trying to find the best tool to roll these tubular rivets. Do you think that this would be the tool I need to use or would you think it would crack the plastic ? The company that manufactured these used some kind of machine probably especially for these no doubt but there must be a way to go about doing it. Could you recommend this tool or something else you may know of ? Thank you for your time.
