I am extremely disappointed that Tucker Carlson apparently doesn't know that there is no such thing as democracy in America. The United States of America is, and always has been, a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC. Big differences between the two. Tucker Carlson should know this.
A republic is any system that is not a Monarchy. Even a true democracy, is a republic, because it's not a monarchy. But you're right, the US is not a democracy. Switzerland is the only country in the world that still uses that governing system. Luxembourg is the next closest thing.

Democratic infers a concept that has the properties of a Democracy, but is not a Democracy. One then has to ask what constitutes a Democracy. E.g. If I say Oligarchic, Monarchic or Theocratic, you'd infer that these words refer to a concept that is like an Oligarchy, Monarchy, etc The Problem is, the US is not like a Democracy. Originally an Oligarchy was a state ruled by Oligarchs...ooops sorry I meant Monarchy...oops I meant a Democracy is ruled by a Demos. The US is not ruled by a Demos. The US is rule by elected representatives and is more like the Roman Republic than the Democracy the Athenians invented and named. Rome (republican) was not a Democracy, and them electing representatives to rule their state didn't make them a Democracy...they created a name for their system Res Publica...the system we use today, is closest to ancient Rome's Res Publica. Democracy, does not require election or representatives in it's uncorrupted meaning. Demos means People (referring to a governing body) Cratos means Authority to rule The Demos having Cratos, is what makes Demoscratos, Demoscratos. In the US, the Demos does not have or can excercize Cratos, we have Representatives who have Cratos. In a Democracy, there is a body called the Demos (instead of a King, or president, or oligharchs or theocrat), and this Demos is what issues decrees, etc (rules the state, and possess authority to rule). Some representative governments can be argued to be Democratic, in that elected representatives are expected to strictly follow mandates, instead of the Representative expected/allowed to use their own discretion. The US, is not even Democratic in that vague sense, since the precedent is for US representatives to use their own discretion when ruling.

@@jonathanfarley2023 tuckers dad was CIA, tucker went to niquaragua on a two contra related trips in the early 90s, and ended up on stage with the newly selected president? strange for someone who apparently just traveled down "as a student", he then applied for CIA, apparently "didnt get the job", but ended getting journalist work, always sorrounded with strange CIA connected people/papers, and it was at this time he went after gary webb when he exposed the iran contra, and tuckers defended the CIA because they are so good and wonderful.. im not saying tucker offed gary webb, im saying tucker is CIA.
