I am one those melanin types, and I don't care. I believe in being descent, productive, and in doing my own thing. I relate so much with Corolla and Tucker. I live in Los Angeles, and I know exactly what they mean about how my city has changed. Great show. The Tuck can't be cucked.
I lived there for 13 years late 80's to 90's. Covina. I was told later that was when it was being destroyed. Oregon just seemed more beautiful with less, litter, vandalism and "diversity". That was all I noticed. Then oregon became trashed. The I5 corridor sucks
I have never been able to stomach Fox news but I love Tucker Carlson and now the world has flipped upside down and Fox is more reliable than the other MSM lol! Crazy times:) #walkaway
Fox always came across genuine to me for a very simple reason.... They have always taken jabs at themselves, made fun of themselves in other programs on the network... That's not the actions of someone that NEEDS to "prove" themselves credible.... when you're right, you don't need to defend yourself, that allows you to laugh at yourself without fear of discrediting yourself...
Fox may reflect more of my views but they are just as guilty of not telling the whole truth because they omit so much and harp on the same issues. Also, the information that scrolls across the bottom always looks to me like it came straight off of CNN. It's clearly intended to sway you to left leaning thinking, which is weird and contradicts what fox delivers.
Rise Nshine I have to agree, I've notice the same thing, figured it was a ploy to appear "unbiased" like having Juan on the five... he's their "pink hat"...LOL
100% I am a liberal and consider myself normal and I dont really feel like I have a party now...I hate to say I am almost relating to the right now.... I NEVER thought id say that wow wow wow wow
It is rare I see such self-congratulatory shared back slapping of this variety from two guys who are enjoying so much the assurance of their own wonderfulness.
I always was on the fence with Tucker. All of this came from his show on Fox. Part of me loves how he doesnt give an inch if he disagrrees while another part I feel he is being unfair at times and twisting things a bit. The last week I have watched him debate Cenk at Politicon. Seen him here and also on The Ruben Report. I absolutely love him when he is basically on his own and not under any company. I have gained alot of respect for him this past week when I started to understand his perspective. He is actually very fair with his stance and really wants the best for everyone whether he is right or wrong. Nothing wrong with that.
@@jzmcgriggs8652 Wow. Just wow. Such a intelligent and insightful commentary you have just made available to the RU-vid nation. Well, not so much intelligent, but definitely insightful. It seems very telling how you can pull the information you have through a comment that speaks nothing of your subject matter. I'd take a wild guess that it speaks more about the issues on your mind than to the person you are referring. Just sayin...lol

Spills51 of course on his show on Fox the network pits him against guests with strong liberal views. He really utilizes common sense in his arguments. That's why I like him. Common sense is what politics is missing these days.
lol, i was hesitant to click this, because i still associate Adam Corolla with jimmy kimmel, and i fkn hate jimmy kimmel, and did not want to hate Adam Corola :P so glad i clicked.
Yeah Kimmel sold out. In the actual sense of the term. Believes 1 way, preaching a different way. A real cunt. Adam on the other hand is a real fucking dude
Now that I'm starting to hear more political voices, one thing is clear: we all massively underestimate or belittle people on "the other side." Joe Rogan doesn't get into arguments with reasonable people, he has discussions. Tucker would have a great time. I loved Bernie for a long time due to the empathy aspect. But I had been misled in my political philosophy, and I was still supporting him when Rogan said he did. We , formerly of the Left, are waking up, and if you think you are a fully awakened being, you are in a dream.
I’m glad you’re waking up my friend, I think we all need to due to the fact that our government really is not our friend. Love him or hate him, Trump really has tried to make a difference in a lot of ways and he’s been fighting for every bit of ground, because everyone knows that he is uncovering all their demons. And believe me, I have my share of issues with the GOP for sure but nowhere near like I do the Democrats and left, Of which the left has gotten so far left, the Democrats are almost unrecognizable. Go back 15 to 20 years and the Democrats would probably be considered Republican today.
@@stewpittt When I was reminded of how recently the phrase "women and minorities" was acceptable to say about progress, I was shocked by how far the Left had moved. A progressive term back then is a slur now. I realized today at work that the things I hated the most about Conservatives were the things I envied the most. I hated that they made me work for things. I hated that they had pride in their country. I hated their religious nature. I hated the "bigotry," despite some of the deep philosophical questions it raised. I hated guns. But then I was in a position where I had to work or whither. So I worked. And my god do I hate the whining I did before. I thought work was just something extra that rich people made us slave away at, until I imagined living on my own in an unknown land. The amount of stress that suddenly falls on you is tremendous. So it seems that we are building a society with too much of an aim for comfort. We are like weightlifters who never try to beat the other, so we just stay at 100 pounds. When the world drops 300 pounds on our shoulders, we instantly buckle. We have to focus on training ourselves to lift as much as we can, because WHEN the world drops its weight on you, you better hope you can not only bare it, but lift it and make the world from it.
He is very engaging but he home educates all his children. That doesn't speak well to him or society that accepts that as an outcome. I understand Tucker wasn't home schooled so why doesn't he consider why his children cannot have the same?
Growing up in Seattle, in the 70s and 80s, every time we’d see a California license plate, we would make a noise of some sort; a disapproving noise. My friend, in college with me in Minnesota, was from Portland, we were in a car driving in the twin cities together, and we saw a California license plate, and both made the same disapproving noise. So, they, apparently learned to make the same noise we did. It was universally despised, in the northwest, when Californians would move the the northwest. Now, this is no longer a “thing” of course, but the same thing that happened to California is happening to Seattle and Portland. It’s really, really sad. Really shocking, and heartbreaking. I worked in the heart of the homeless population in Seattle and I learned, simply from being with them, every single day, from 6:00 am every day, that the genuinely homeless population, go to particular shelters, and those shelters frisk for weapons before they allow anyone in. You see them every morning, lining up. You rarely see the same person twice. They never harass you as you walk past, they look serious and purposeful. The other shelters, that do jot frisk for weapons, are quite different. The same people loiter around these shelters every day or every other day, harassed me regularly, as a 23 year old woman, and were almost always intoxicated. Many of them were aggressive toward me, with no provocation. For years. These were the criminals. Some were simply addicts, and occasionally a clearly mentally ill person, untreated. I hate depression. I had to seek my own sources of help, with not support from friends or family of any kind, which is why it took a while to recognize exactly what I was dealing with. I also had moderate attention deficit disorder, which for some of us, is actually quite life altering, and it took another 10 years to find relief from this. I did what I had to do to take responsibility for my own mental health, and somehow, pushed through most of my life, grinding, struggling, working twice as hard as my friends, to achieve the same result. The medication saved my life. But I suffered a lot of needless pain, when medication, in my case, could have and would have made all the difference in the world. But I don’t lament this, and I fought through every day, against some tough odds myself. So, truly homeless people are much like I was, in this respect. They are fighting every day, to get out of a tough situation to reach a better one. It was evident who the actual homeless people were, versus the criminals, the addicts who weren’t seeking to better their situation, no matter how many tries it took, but were instead harassing young women like me, getting trashed all day, and others who weren’t taking their meds. It is a choice. I really is.
*What I like about Tucker is he will say he doesn't know everything and stays pretty modest. He uses common sense to stand up to the insanity of the left.*
Adam makes a key point: Physical work is deeply embedded in our development as humans and is why our brains are as big as they are. I think it's possible that we obsess over our phones and smoke cigarettes in an effort to address our deep-seated yearning to work with our hands. It is wrongheaded to denigrate manual labor as is fashionable today. It's also interesting that as we become increasingly more digital, anything handmade becomes increasingly precious. I recently read that gardening also has many of the beneficial effects of carpentry, mechanical work, etc. Handwriting is also a wonderfully tactile experience, along with typing on a manual typewriter. Adam observed that guys on his work crew were generally in a decent mood and basically well-adjusted. Experts in the field would say that this is because they have purpose and can look at their results at the end of each day of physical exertion. "A man who works with his hands is a laborer. A man who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. A man who works with his hands, his head and his soul is an artist". St Francis of Assisi.
We're drowning in Lake Me. Great point. There are two motivations that govern human actions; self-pity and self-importance, which is a disguise for self-pity.
@@conservativeyankee4311 Adam is credited as a pioneer of podcasting. He has the record for the most downloaded podcast ever. Been around for almost a decade.
Not really. I made a generalization, you claimed that it was an absolute statement regarding every single member of the generalized group, I corrected you, and you started arguing with your vagina. It's all there in the transcripts.
I’m watching this and wondering,,, Who’s the Guest and Who’s the Host🤷♀️ Why is Adam doing ALL the talking?! Didn’t he have Tucker on to hear his views?!
I am Latino and a progressive. However, Adam was "spot on" when he countered Gavin Newsom's perception about Latino and Black access to financial resources. Why is it that "other" groups have access and these don't? I think that Gavin's perception is largely an exaggeration. Is this to say that Latinos and Black don't face racism? Of course not, but I believe Latinos and Black are largely in control of their own destinies. Latinos and Blacks, if employed, and who make responsible choices, are no different than other groups in achieving success. This mentality of victimization is what is destroying and keeping people down. There is no substitute to waking up, putting on your clothes, washing your teeth and face, and going to work every day to earn a living. The old formula still holds, and making excuses for your failures are largely an exaggeration and a great tool that is used by politicians to get your vote.
My whole teenage life, people would tell me that I was a victim or would just feel sorry for me (teachers, CPS workers...) because I ran away from a broken home. The day, I said: No, I'm not a victim! I fought for my freedom & I'm going to make the most of it, everything changed.
I like Tucker’s take on things. He can definitely be an alarmist...no more or less then any other mainstream news broadcaster, they have to be entertaining. I’m more of a neoliberal then a conservative as I’ve gotten older, but I still align with allot of what he has to say.
Wages are down way more than 11% . In the skilled trades , wages have been stagnant if not lower than the late 1990' early 2000's . In Canada 100 $ in 2001, now costs 140 $ plus in buying power . Wages have actually dropped . In comparison , a working person in 1969 making the same wage in 1990 sounds absurd ? But its happening . Im talking journeymen ticketed tradesmen . So its not all about rolling up your sleeves , and having gumption , its about absurd profit margins becoming the norm , and a race to the bottom for ppl working their asses off . And thats a fact
Men yearn to be useful, more than anything else that's what we want. Building stuff with your hands is some of the most tangible forms of use manifested through effort. It's like crack to us. Not crazy to think men who've been lacking their physical, tangible creations seek highfalutin goals to scratch that itch.
Thor Obliterator yep. I graduated college two weeks ago, but I felt more rewarded making the back yard in my new house look great. It’s crazy but true.
Just wanted to give my thoughts on Tucker's religious analogy, not because he's wrong that Christians act that way, but rather to point out how sad it is that they are that way. Any Christian (speaking as one myself) who tells you that they are more virtuous/righteous than you has already lost the argument before it began. Christian doctrine teaches that we are all sinners, and the only person in the equation who is righteous/holy is Jesus, who justified us through the shedding of his blood. The only reason we get to go to heaven is because of Jesus, not out of any delusional ideal that we are somehow more holy than the unconverted sinner. Someone who is humble about their conversion will take pride in the fact that Jesus is holy, and their good works are simply done to please God; not so they can pat themselves on the back. I pity people who don't have faith in Jesus, but that doesn't mean I think I'm more virtuous than them. Without Jesus, and even with Jesus, I am no different than them; a sinner, and a very flawed human being. It would be like laughing at a hungry person because some rich guy was nice enough to feed you; without the kindness of that rich man you'd be in the same boat as the hungry person you're laughing at.

It is really gross unless you live up in woodland hills or Calabasas or up in a nice area in the hills. Everything in the lower section has gone to sh!/. Van Nuys? Eww. People actually live on the sidewalk in tents. I'm glad I could retire early. I'll have to leave when my parent dies. I was born here in the 60s. It was so much nicer. I remember during Reagan, a certain culture started pouring in without any regard or respect for our laws or our environment. They would break beer bottles and leer at us. I felt threatened then. It was a threat. I left for awhile but had to come back to care for my aging parent. Sheesh. You have to lock everything down now.
I moved to San Francisco right out of high school in June of 1995 and it was Paradise for a Virginia hayseed like me. I got paid $900 a month to ride a bicycle and I was cool with it. I worked four days a week and surfed on Friday, my women's rights attorney girlfriend made $1,700 a month and one thing we never squabbled about was money. Today, 25 years later, if you don't make $5,000 a month, you're fucked.
I've been a union electrician in Boston since 2006 are I can honestly say that in all those years I've seen less than 15 black people on job sites with me. All the lower end jobs, that also pay pretty good were filed by either whites or Spanish people. Which is why I have no idea why blacks continue to vote Democrat year after year. Even though, after voting STRICTLY Democrat for the past 100 years things are just as bad in the black community today, as it was 50-60 years ago, in some places even worse today.

Adam is a lot like Norm. He invites folk he likes and let's them know it by being a fan. He's just trying to let someone who he appreciates get to know him. We've all heard these Adam stories a million times. He's like that uncle who tells the same stories to everyone who comes over for dinner. He's just so happy to have Tucker on. It was over an hour long. Tucker had every opportunity to say whatever he wanted. Adam wasn't cutting him off or anything. Adam's just long-winded. People in my neighborhood don't lock their doors or cars and there is no graffiti or cars blasting retarded music.
At around 50mins Adam says he wondered if he would ever be able to afford a home if he continued digging ditches,, don't fool yourself Adam, many of we who started digging ditches when we were teens, learned a craft (concrete construction in my case), learned our trade well, started our own business - it can only happen in America for most of us, built the business very successfully, raised our families (5 kids in my case), sent our kids who wanted to go to college, built and renovated a number of homes and retired comfortably. Soo, don't talk of construction as being a dead end job - it is not. America is a country offering opportunity. What people do with the opportunity afforded us is for each person to do with as they choose.
John Z - I thought the same thing. I was disappointed in the way Adam referred to his friends who stayed in construction. There are ambitious people & worker bees in every industry. Digging ditches is an entry level position; if you want more $ and more responsibility, the opportunity is there in the construction industry. The great thing about construction is that hands on experience is valued over a college degree. There are plenty of six figure positions in management/sales to smart, hard working people with experience in the field. These guys know how to relate to guys on the site because they’ve been there. At age 30, my family member decided he didn’t want to swing a hammer the rest of his life. He transitioned into an office job in heavy equipment industry and has made an excellent living with benefits, company truck and 401K. With the right work ethic, nothing is a dead end job.
And some people had drug addicted absent parents and got poor public education and found guns to protect themselves and end up with a criminal record and then can't get a job. Repeat.
@@riseabove3133 I absolutely get and accept your point. I don't think that is the point Adam was making. He was accounting his own experiences to describe dead end people. The people whom are happy to stay where they are don't typically move above the entry level job, is, digging ditches. How many times have you heard someone say "when they pay me more I'll do more work" or some such nonsense? Sorry, I meant to direct that as a response to johnz.

I read Tucher's book and do not think it is like his show. His show is about current events with a moral perspective. The book's content is much wider in scope. It showed to me that Tucker has a good understanding of some topics that are not spoken about out in the open. And - it is very well written.
