My gosh downtown Tucson has really grown, I graduated from Sahuaro High School in 1978, Thanks Brad for these wonderful videos. I moved from Tucson to So. CA in 1978
Living in Tucson is like living anywhere else; it can be stressful at times, and it really depends on a person's station in life; University students and job transfers would like it because they may be around people they can trust. Lots of people love Tucson. The surrounding areas are so beautiful as in the video. There state parks, national parks. One thing that is very challenging is medical care, if you are older and need serious medical attention; the HMOs here have low reviews, the VA may be the worst in the country, in 2017 there are way too many people, and when you drive you have to be very aware of your surroundings. Because of a drug problem like in most cities, there are a lot of breaking and enterings, I've had to acquire a little protection especially when riding my bike, I take a can of bear spray with me, I've been threatened and harrassed on my bike, but the bike lanes a real good, if only they'd level the roads, bumpiest roads anywhere. I'm old and somewht shut-in, but young people who are outgoing could do real well here; there are a lot of happy people and about 20 golf courses; lots of RV parks. Tucson needs a freeway that runs through it, would be a big help, traffic here is abominable but not as bad as southern California, Chicago, or New York.
Pristine af! always been attracted to the desert, greenery & red-rock of Arizona. Im from England, and have been to Toronto and Seattle etc. but can someone take me to Tucson or Flagstaff pls...
Just came back from Tucson , I really enjoyed my 3 day get a way from Phoenix . Tucson really surprised me , I was very pleased with my stay , toured the city awesome , stayed in ora valley at the 3 palms hotel and ate some good Mexican food at Los betos , food was bomb .
Lived in Tucson for ten years. Beautiful sunsets. If your looking for a laid back friendly place. It was super affordable to live. Summers are so hot I saw the devil In sandals and a sombrero ..The rest of the year is heaven weatherwise. But them summers. Ouch. You can literally crack an egg on your car hood. And it will fry.
It's funny how all these videos on RU-vid only show the foothills and downtown, it just shows how rundown the actual city is, so much that no one shows you what the actual city is like.

Loved part 3! One question, when the drone went through the lags of the horse statue, did you fly through with the camera pointing backward, or are you somehow able to play the video backward? You do a great job of showing Tucson at it's best!
are roads usually that empty?! Im moving from Seattle and we are super busy with traffic here! Also... what are some good neighborhoods to look at when selecting a house or apartment to rent??
In a way you are asking the wrong question. I have been to Seattle, plus I lived in Europe for 5 years, Seattle has small streets compared to Tucson. Though Metro Seattle has 7 times the population, compared to Tucson 1 million metro, Tucson is larger in land area....Simple put, we are spread out more, each person has a preference to what they like, I hope this answers your question.
4th Avenue. One of the buildings is the Hippie Gippsie. another building with a mural is the Benjamin Plumbing Supply building on 6th and Stone. there are some more throughout downtown.
That cactus is in a real bad side of town. Drug addicts, gang violence, and poor housing all around there. It looks like a a 3rd world country around there. But its our home
Definitely not. The vid was probably taken at dusk or dawn. Since coming here in 08 the traffic has doubled and there are more dangerous drivers. Almost all day you should expect traffic jams. Just last night I was coming home and some yahoo pulled out right in front of me, I managed to avoid broadsiding him/her. Now, I hate driving in this city. There're just too many people on the roads.
The drone you used and the quality of the video is great, but as someone who has lived in Tucson for many years off and on, I was really dissappointed that you showed mostly the downtown area! What about the Mission? DMAFB? Vail, Colossal Cave, the foothills? South Tucson, Old Tucson? You missed a lot of what the everyday Tucsonan sees. I haven't been downtown since 2012! and I still live here!
Bob Jones thx, check out my other videos (tucson is awesome 1 & 2) to see other areas of Tucson. Unfortunately I would love to film San Xavier and DMAFB..... but it is all class C restricted airspace
In that case, you should have just used your phone or whatever and shot some from the ground level. No one would have questioned the difference! Anyway, as I said the quality, etc. was great, just a big disappointment to me to mostly see the downtown area. Makes folks that watch it think that's where all the "action" is, and as you know very well, living in Tucson, folks like me NEVER go downtown. I've been there once in maybe 10 years, and that was to fight a traffic ticket. (which I beat). Anyway...not trying to put you down, just to me, someone watching it that's never been here would get a totally wrong opinion of this area.
Bob Jones reading your comments i understand wym im 20 currently living in Phoenix i haven't been too Tucson since i was 9 imma young buck ik but cut the man a break your comment still sounds a little rude imo just the way its worded its like your coming at the brutha! this is probably by far the best aerial video of Tucson i've seen so far the rest of the people who own drones and live down there make the City look sloppy the only people who make Tucson beautiful are the Cities Photographers! this aerial video is amazing makes it look like a Movie and i am an aspiring Filmmaker myself and i own a Drone myself $1100 fly it all around Phoenix and Tempe and people love the work i do all im saying is Tucson is beautiful but the Drone Operators make the place look ugly and sloppy and not wanna visit or live and i'll be heading to Tucson in a few weeks myself to capture Sunsets and Aerials of the City i would love too check out the places you mentioned that he didn't get but still your comment did sound aggressive granted you salute the video but all the extra stuff wasn't necessary imo
