Tucson Mountain Park - Sunset at Gates Pass - 4K Walking Tour

In this video, my wife and I take a short hike along Choeps Trail and Gates Pass Trail, eventually arriving at the Gates Pass Trailhead to catch the last glimpse of the sun before it disappears behind the Tucson Mountains.
Gates Pass is considered by many to be the absolute best spot to view the sunset in Tucson. You can get to Gates Pass by simply taking Speedway Blvd. west from the I-10 freeway and following it as it turns into W. Gates Pass Rd.
The two most popular places to enjoy the view are Gates Pass Trailhead and Gates Pass Scenic Overlook, both of which have parking lots. However, both of these parking lots can get very crowed. So, what I recommend, and what my wife and I do in this video, is park a little further west along W. Gates Pass Rd. at the Choeps Trailhead and hike up the hill to the Gates Pass Trailhead. You will avoid the crowds and still get the same amazing views of the sunset at pretty much every point along your hike!
