Thank you for sharing the steps on how to adjust the links on the bracelet. I have a Tudor and have always felt it to be slightly too loose around the wrist. However, after I took it to a watch repair shop, they were able to adjust it based on the method that you showed. Now my time piece fits perfectly!
Looks good, Clasp looks nice and centred. I have learned that typically there should be fewer links on the 6’ o clock side to ensure a centred clasp. Keep up the great work!!
thanks a lot. I have a similar wrist to yours and your hack solved my issue as well. the watch wasn't sitting in the middle of my wrist. now it's perfect. used a toothpick because didn't have a wooden tool like you :D
Just wanted to say this bracelet hack works perfectly on my new Tudor Chrono as well. Glad I found this video. My wrist is the same size as yours and I wanted my clasp slightly more centered...my OCD kept kicking in. Lol. Great video and thanks again for making it.
I have the three Tudor straps (bracelet, leather and nato). I actually use the watch as part of my job which requires regular international travel. I can confidently say that the only strap fit to travel is the nato. All the others get very uncomfortable in high humidity countries and the watch feels heavy. Thanks for the videos.
Man! I just recently got this watch and thought the bracelet was so annoyingly uncomfortable, and the case didn't fit right on my wrist. Did this - now the most comfy watch I've worn.
The clasp fitment as it were is how they’re supposed be positioned, and I had this exact same discussion with the horologist last week. But he did say the fitment and placement is personal preference.
Hopefully they didn't send you a Rolex back on accident... That would be a shame. I love this GMT of yours. I have the Black Bay 58 Blue, and the only Tudor I wonder if I would have liked better is this one...
I managed to do the bracelet hacks and it worked perfectly. So 2 links out a the six o'clock and one at the 12 o'clock with the Micro adjustment at the very small or tight settings and fits perfectly with my 6.5 inches wrist. Not so tight, just about right for when my wrist swells and if needs more loosening then I still have 2 more rooms for adjustment.
After watching this video I thought brilliant let’s get my gmt fitting perfectly. Set up on the kitchen table only to fall at the first hurdle……my spring bar pusher is too big for the little holes on the clasp 😩
Great video, i have this watch, can the bezel insurt be changed for a ceramic one? Where would i get one with the same colours and the official Tudor brown leather strap?
Just came across this. Have to say i really don’t like the riveted bracelet, so much so that i sold my GMT last year as always felt it uncomfortable and slab sided. But then this week i had arranged appointment with my local AD for something else, then randomly decided to try it on again but this time on the leather. Absolute game changer IMPO as i had to have it. I’ve additionally ordered a brushed jubilee and confident it will fit an look great. 👍
The date on mine is now playing up. Was on the winder for 10 days or so and when I wore it next noticed the date was over a week out. Been wearing a couple of days and date was fine first morning, this morning found it had jumped two days. Looks like it’s going back!
@@TheEnglishWatch Mine displayed something like the 11th web the date was 28th. As I hadn’t worn it for 10 days or so, not sure if it got stuck or jumped forward.
Those travel pouches are excellent. I had to send mine back tail end of lat year as it was running slow and got a pouch. Runs extremely accurately now👍
What if you got a smaller watch. I know you said that you have small but flat wrists but only the top of your wrist is flat. Maby a fifty eight would work better. I have small wrists and a 36 mm watch is the most comfortable for me, with a jubilee bracelet. ( an 80's tag Heuer night Diver ) to be exact. All my other watches are on nato's. I am rough on all my watches and the thought of losing one due to a spring bar failure is un exceptable .
Quick question as I also have the Black Bay GMT and seemingly the same size wrists as you. Did you stay with the bracelet hack? I was also considering removing the last link on the 6 o'clock side but thought it looked awkward and not very comfortable with only four links before the clasp. Cheers. Dan
Hi Andy. Great video, I have just bought my third Omega, Plant Ocean in black. I have been thinking about a Tudor , but still thinking on what Model to buy.
Tudor are still good value. You just need to get to a AD and try the range. The good news is most models are available to try. Find the one that fits the collection or just gives you a wink and says ‘Hi’.
i'm right there with you on the omegas check out the tudor bb bronze choc dial i think youll like it how it changes colors over time and can always wash the petina off to like new again.i put mine on a custom leather/canvas cuff from some bosnian on etsy great look and a really nice quality while still using the tudor buckle
Hello. Great video. I know I am very late to the party but when going backwards on the jumping hour hand the date wheel only seems to change at like 10/9pm. Is that correct? When going forward it’s snaps bang on midnight .
@@TheEnglishWatch thank you. Appreciate your response. I just noticed it on my BB Pro and thought it could be normal and thought I would check. Thanks again.
@@TheEnglishWatch got mine today Mate, just waiting for my leather and rubber strap to arrive. To resize the bracelet, which one is better? 1.4mm or 1.6mm Bergeon screw driver. I must say your channel is very helpful 🙌
It’s only in the GMT, I own both the Pelagos and GMT. Pelagos has been running fantastic for the first 2 years and I just got my GMT back from service/repair for the date issue.
@@secretsanta9046 I’m glad I now know about the GMT date issue. But what is the story about the Pelagos keeping good time for only 2 years? Sounds like an unexplored bombshell of a statement to make, would be good to know more.
Centered on the watch is NOT well fit on the wrist. Balancing left and right doesn't work. Your wrist is somewhat triangular not just a regular ellipse.
Tudor GMT is now producing serial number Q41+, they skipped Q20 and Q30, I think they have updated the movement, date issue seen with serial number before Q19 and I19, no official prove yet but I guess that is it
@@TheEnglishWatch I have been wanting this GMT before, so I have done researches, finally got mine Q43, now you can see Q44 out there, still havent found issue on Q41+, so fingercross!
Andy - another good video, ive always had good service at WoS in Brum too, I went in in-between lockdown to try on the Tudor and really didn't like the bracelet
Well, was it still comfortable on the wrist after that bracelet hack? You didn’t say. I also noticed that Rolex services placed the watch in the pouch facing the front. The metal stud fastener sometimes has coarse bare metal of the stud attachment facing the inside of a pouch or bag. Was the watch protected adequately from that potential hazard? Would’ve compromised the whole careful bubble wrap protection otherwise.
I tried it for a while. I must be between links, so put it back. The clasp is quite long so fit is tricky. Looking forward to receiving a nice custom rally strap for it atm. In terms of the pouch, I didn’t notice any metal on the inside, will check. No harm done either way.
Iv just brought a tudor day date royal & have the same problem with the clasp it seems to far over to the one side & pulls the watch face to one side of my wrist towards my little finger & the actual folding mechanism seems huge i own a sea master as well the orange & white face n my bracelets the same size as your so we must have same size wrists this must be a common thing across all tudor models with a clasp im guessing
Their model must have massive wrists. If it were a car they would have designed for a range of tall and short drivers or large and small wrists. Very odd I think.
Did You ever think of reversing the Bracelet; i.e, Back-to-Front? Works A TREAT for me, in fact, i wear my Speedmasters & my Explorer, all on Frack-to-Bunt Bracelets, usually obviates All problems with bracelets generally. Try it! Y'll LIKE It!
Hi Andy, I just wanna ask if having a clicking sound and can be felt at the crown while winding is considered an issue or is it normal? Mine does this and never felt this with my auto watches like Omega and Baume.
Mine is pretty smooth, only the faintest of clicking. It’s not audible unless I bring it to my ear while winding. The GMT is the smoothest I have, so worth a trip to an AD to compare with one they have.
@@TheEnglishWatch thanks very much Andy, funnily I found another review stating that it is common on the newer release to rectify the issue about the date wheel. I will still visit an AD one of this day just to feel the difference for added peace of mind. I kept watching your channel on and on Mate to learn the tricks on how to swap straps and sizing bracelets. I must say your a massive help to people like Us who hate sending it to some AD for sizing only to come back with some scratches on the lugs.
Doesn’t sound right. You should rinse in fresh water after exposing to salt water. Maybe there’s some grit or sand stuck under there. Could need a watch maker to pop the bezel and clean out.
@@TheEnglishWatch ive never had one that sticks so much , and I have been rinsing it in freshwater every time. I think I am going to inquire where I purchased it
I think for the price, Tudor could put in an easy link like the Rolex Oyster Perpetual. The Omega clasp is appropriate for a 600m diver and balances the heft of the watch head nicely.
Hi Andy, just watched your video which I enjoyed, I have a question for you that doesn't seem to be addressed on watch videos, what tool do you use to take of the braclet, as the tolerance is so small, yeah sure it's easy to remove but putting it back was a nightmare hence why I never changed the strap ever again.
@@marcocastagnetti7086 check out my first video where I cover this. The right tool is essential. I use a pliers style tool and have changed out the bracelet many times. Tape it up though.
Who knows. Some have had it sooner, but it’s not 100% certain you’ll experience an issue anyway. The forums show this is common, but not sure what actual % fall out is. Wear and enjoy it. If you have a problem, Tudor will turn around pretty quickly in my experience.
I bought it from Goldsmiths, but wanted to strike up a report with WoS down the road. They’re a Tudor dealer and part of the same group. I had a sticking/jumping date wheel. Not uncommon, but fixed quickly and within the warranty period.
Yeah I love my GMT and it appears at this point the issue is a non issue but I didn’t consider grey market at all since it meant I’d be on my own if the date wheel issue came up. Also was nice to have the AD size it for me
I hear this is a non issue now. Mine’s fixed and been fine for over a year. It’s a great watch. Any issue would be fixed if the watch is still in warranty. Having said that, the list is very reasonable, so new is the way. Hope you enjoy it.
@@TheEnglishWatch wow I would be demanding a new watch.i hate polished watches light or heavy.the definitely scratched your watch.amd tried to fix it without your knowledge. That's is bad
I’ll admit, I wasn’t feeling too good that day. I hope you find better sound quality in my later episodes. The latest I have tried a camera mounted mic instead of a lav mic. Worked ok other than some echo from the kitchen. You try, you learn.
