The tune for newsday was very upbeat and cheerful for a news programme

The late Howard Smith who produced the programme that was ending was one of my university lecturers in the late nineties. Very decent man!

Never knew Tony Jacklin ever had a porno tache (thought obviously he's more well known for his late 60s/early 70s purple patch and and being Ryder Cup captain in the 80s and this time sort of falls in between)!
