Kitty straight up looks like a villain in some of those designs. I mean, I'd probably turn into a villian too after ten years of working with Dudley lol
Honestly, I headcannon that Ollie has an adoptive kid that the others don’t know of and falls into the trope of ‘Evil Parents Want Good Kids’. Idk, I like the image of Villains adopting a kid.
These all have potential for character growth, particularly in order: Chief- extra grizzled Keswick- dotting father undercover Kitty- M inspired role Dudley- either Kingsmen refined or just smarter, more experienced TUFF agent Good job as always Butch!
The way you drew the characters in a 10 year setting was simply marvelous and fantastic Mr.Hartman in fact they were so perfect if the T.U.F.F. Puppy series ever got a revival or a movie a 10 year setting would be perfect for it like for example (say it's 10 years later and Dudley and all of his friends from T.U.F.F. are all moved on living different lives when all of a sudden Snaptrap resurfaces in the criminal underworld only this time he's much worse so the T.U.F.F. crew would have to get back together one last time to take him down.)....at least that's how i'd put it.
I was not expecting this amount of angst coming from TUFF PUPPY of all shows... (But tbh, this was one of my favorite cartoons when i was little and i still love watching it to this day, one of the best shows you’ve ever created Butch!)
+Johnathon Barker Like with Danny Phantom, Nick cancelled it. Butch Hartman doesn't own the shows, he sells the rights to them if Nick wants to do them.
sion8 the fact it's been 10 years, Nickelodeon has no plans for reboots or continuing the shows even though fabs really want that at least with Danny Phantom so really it's messed up Butch doesn't get the rights back.
+Johnathon Barker Whatever factors Nickelodeon sees as profitable in "SpongeBob SquarePants" that they didn't see with either "Danny Phantom" nor "T.U.F.F. Puppy", I can't answer for them, all I know is that I wish Danny Phantom could have kept going, but it didn't and Butch has said many times he wants to continue it and in his podcast he says he might seek to get DP's rights back in order to continue it.
+Autobot Simmer Nick wouldn't be the 1st nor last company to hold the rights of something many people like and not do a single thing with them, Butch has said in his podcast, "Speech Bubble", that now that he's no longer with Nick that he might seek to get the rights of Danny Phantom, but it isn't a sure thing. If he does get them back he more than likely is going to continue the show in some form.
I would totally watch a post-apocalyptic 10-years-later version of T.U.F.F. Puppy. Seriously, it sounds so freakin' epic. Dangit Butch, always giving us cool ideas that will never come to fruition... :P
He drew Dora as Lara Croft now Kitty I love it so much I would love to see his take on the actual Lara Croft the original not the reboot it would be so cool
I loved the leader versions of Kitty; I can imagine lots of cool scenarios in the worlds you described. Dudley sounds like a lot of fun too, with how his wacky character could fuel so many ironic situations with his new appearances.
Yeah, I can definitely see Dudley becoming a biker or a cowboy. As for Kitty, she almost seems destined to be the leader of T.U.F.F. at some point. Some people have even theorised that her father was also a secret agent, just like her. Like father, like daughter, I guess.
You know, Butch, some people really want the show to come back for another season, and maybe a movie. After all, there were some unanswered questions to the show. * How did Keswick come to earth and become part of the T.U.F.F. agency? * Where did Dudley's father go? * Where did Kitty's father go? * Will there be a romantic relationship between Dudley and Kitty (better known as Kudley), because as we know, Dudley and Kitty are counterparts of Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 from "Get Smart"? * Who is Eric really (remember episode "Mutts and Bolts"?)? * Why did Katty Katswell become a villain? * How did Jack Rabbit become a villain? Wow all of them look awesome 10 years later especially kitty katswell and dudley puppy those two are my favorite characters from tuff puppy it would be very interesting how villains of tuff puppy would look like ten years
Your creative outlook on each character 10 years later is astonishing, Butch. Physically you may have aged these years(still lookin good), but mentally you are still that kid with vibrant ideas who likes to make cool cartoons! Can't wait for Elf detective and your other projects!
I imagine kitty breaking off to start her thing and dudly getting really upset to the point he stop talking to her but ten years later kitty under attack and he has to escort her through the city and the rekindle there old freindship
It's genuinely cool to have this much insight into someone so successful in the animation industry. Thanks for doing what you do. As someone who dabbles in animation from time to time, it's inspiring me to do a little more. Cheers from England
the kitty katswell laura croft design seemed like a 5 years earlier design given her more reckless attire befitting that of a teenager going guns ablazing, compared to her present day sleek and sneak outfit
You need to do what Genndy Tartakovsky did and make a new season for adult swim where you can do all the really dark things Nickelodeon would never let you put on TV.
Oh lord, 10 years... i remember the awesome time i had watching the show as i was a kid. So im just gonna thank you for the awesome time i had watching the show.
I miss TUFF Puppy so much it was my favorite to watch with my sister and some friends and I used to talked about it all the time. It's great to see how they will age of ten years later. My favorite one that age up has to be all four of them it's so cool to see them like that
