Bought one/ 10x12 with all the upgrades and honestly the quality of materials was to my standards...and the contractor who installed it super polite and even called me to inspect it before they left. Easy install and enjoyed the whole process... tuff shed team called me before install and after install to make sure everything went smooth.
The guy taking the 4x8 roofing sheet up the ladder all by himself, impressive. 3 hours for those two guys to finish, 3 weeks for me to install from scratch.
Looks great Armando, they did do a nice job. Thanks for the time lapse, it will give a lot of people an understanding of what to expect if they decide on something similar.
Thanks Art, that's what I was aiming for when I did the video, and also to give an idea on pricing. I had a few questions myself prior to ordering the shed and like you said, I hope the video can help others Take care.
Thanks for posting the video and including all the helpful comments. The shed looks very good, and seeing the assembly was interesting and useful to understand how it goes together. The shed base also came out great!
Vivo en houston ellos me hicieron uno de 10 x12 las cabrillas no quedaron a nivel sin suficientes clavos el viento fuerte despego el piso, asegúrense de que usen escuadra y nivel
Good video, it looks so easy. I think this could be a nice mini kitchen toilet sink shower and a twin pull out chair and tiny table. Looks great. I would cement brick and Harris siding this with a larger window on the front. See 10x12 floor plans. Nice shed, good work!
Hi Armando they did a nice job, it looks great. I'd they haven't done so already it might be a good idea to caulk the trim. Especially your horizontal pieces where rainwater can lay on them Take care.
Thanks so much Jerry, and I appreciate the tip on caulking the trim! I actually found a small puddle of water inside after a strong rain. I think I will be doing some caulking. Take care.
Be careful with ladder. The proper angle will be achieved when one stands with his toes at the foot of the ladder, and he extends his arms straight out, (level) and the hands comfortably land on the uprights of the ladder, as in grabbing. This will provide a safe angle where the foot of the ladder is not likely to slip away on you.
I just had some guys lay down the cement today and I'm concerned now that they'll have a difficult time building the shed as I placed it only a few inches from the fence. I guess I'll fond out in 10 days.
Do they paint the inside white as part of the job or was that extra? I didn't see that when I was configuring a similar model. Also, if you were to do it again, any changes/upgrades? Thanks.
They do not offer inside painting as an option, I did that myself. They might do it if you ask for it but that would raise your expenses quite a bit I would think. It would need a paint sprayer to do it faster because of the studs and it needs at least 2 coats of paint. I painted it just using a roller and paint brush and it was quite a job, but worth it. Considering my budget, I think I would still go the same route if I were to do it again.
how strongly are the gravel locked? I just built a gravel shed foundation but it seems to be a bit loose. I am trying to figure out if gravel might be too big
I think the plate compactor did a good job of compacting it. The 3/4 inch gravel that I ordered actually came with a lot of pieces smaller than 3/4 inches.
Thanks for watching and yes, I had to. Our village requires us to pull a permit to install a shed. The shed needs to be certain distances away from the house and property line, aside from some other requirements.
The village asked for my house's plat of survey marking the proposed location for the shed. For the shed plans, the home depot contract/drawings was enough.
I’m more interested in your lawn. It looks amazing. Just kidding. I love the shed. I need to get one of these asap. I want to build it myself though. Is that an option and they just deliver all the pieces?
Thank you! I'm not sure about your question though. Did a quick online search but didn't find any that would say they offer diy as an option. Best to ask your local tuffshed dealer.
It’s holding up pretty good. Yeah, I’m happy with it. My advice would be to apply some caulking on the exposed nail heads to prevent them from rusting.
Shed has 10 ft x 12 ft floor area and 8 ft high side walls. I did the shed base, here's the video link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gVmLFoyEMbI.html
@@abcando1 well thanks for replying I realize that was two years ago after I sent you the message. It's probably double now but thank you how's it holding up?
It's a simple wood truss, studs and wall structure which I think any installer would build the same way if using the same materials. I believe it's how you maintain it like repainting when needed and preventing water damage that can make it last for a long time.
