From a pimpers perspective, Bokers quality has gotten better and we all hope to 'sell out' someday. It's part of making a name for yourself. Way to go Geoff! I've already got some pimp orders so hope I make you proud! lol
Congrats, Jeff! I've been watching your vids for 2.5+ years now, always enjoyed them and always wanted one of your knives but could not afford it. I will be placing an order for one of these today and can not wait to get it. Hopefully it will tide me over till I get into customs. Keep up the amazing work!
I'm proud of you and this knife. I've seen all the incarnations of this blade and i've wanted every one. If I didn't have huge hands, and thought this would be too small for them, i'd buy it in a second.
Congrats Jeff, I have a big fan for a long time and even exchanged a couple of e-mails with you about you war toads and just never had the money to get one. I ordered mine today and want to say I am proud to own one of your designs... Keep up the video's miss seeing you on here...
I don't usually comment on RU-vid, but I wanted to say congratulations! I've been following your work and am very happy for you. I just ordered two Boker War Toads, one for a gift & one for myself. The knives on your website are incredible. I'm looking forward to owning one of those someday too. Prost!
wicked man... congratulations on your continued success.. kicking myself for never getting a pimp job from you. been following you for years.. Keep at it.. Happy Holidays..
Awesome stuff Geoff. Congrats on achieving a dream. I've been so far removed from the knife game but this makes me wanna get back into it. Keep up the great work.
I don't know how it took this long, but I finally got one. Besides the obvious pocket clip issue/nonissue, I'm in love. Such a fun design, and I've already got a ton of ideas for some mods. I've got access to a nice shop for the next month, and I'm going to go crazy on it. Super late comment, but I just wanted to say thanks for putting this out there. Always wanted a Toad and never had a chance to get one, so getting this is has me acting like a little kid. Hell, I was cutting steak with it yesterday just because I had it on me!
Great collaboration you did. 440c holds a dam good edge I think. I have the boker nano and I have yet to sharpen it. Glad we can finally get this knife and yes I am gonna pimp it when I get it.
I'm absolutely loving mine! Great little pocket knife I can just toss it in and go. Only thing I don't care for is what you mentioned and is the pocket clip. Sits awkward in the pocket. Would love to have mine pimped by you
Great job screw those people with negative comments they are just jealous it's great to see how far you and Gav got in the business I've been watching since the primping days
This is an excellent video. I am going to buy a War Toad later this month and it is for all the reasons you stated here. I want an unusual looking knife, not for EDC, but for a sometimes carry, around town. I want it to turn heads when I take it out, and since I am on a pretty tight budget, I can't afford a TuffKnives custom. I know I will love it and it will be my first and possibly only friction folder. Thank you for the excellent video and also for your outstanding designs.
The blade looks like one of the dragons from How To Train A Dragon lol I love it :D Being in the UK, there isn't many really cool blades that a legal to carry, but this is really cool and I'll be getting myself one in the future :D
I want to see you pimp out your own knife Jeff. That would be sweet. Definitely I dream come true for you man. Congrats. I've been watching your bus vids for a long time and you have came a long way in a short time. I know allot of us wish you still pimped knives out.
Got to say i live in the uk and have got one of these knives and doberman knives is right it makes a grate uk carry i love it no isue what so ever with the quality its spot on it is one of those knives that when you get it in your hands it makes sense i highly recamend it
it would be awesome if you made a video showing how the buyer might be able to pimp their knives, since you said that was something you had in mind when designing it.
Boker in the last year or two has been turning out some good knives, it has changed my opinion on them completely. I just got the war toad in the mail, if only I had the confidence to customize it I would just fuck that thing up.
I really like the knife. If ind it ironic that you said yourself that this knife is not designed for self defense, rather the WAR Toad is good for opening boxes. I will be carrying mine as an EDC for college because there are rule and regulations relating to knives on college campuses in California
I really like the shape and thickness, what I don't like is no lock and the chisel grind. I don't buy chisel grind knives. Other then that it looks like a great knife.
Tell spyderco that I'm using the patent on my body somewhere..........tell them to guess where? Give up my asshole is a spyderco patent wow all these years who would have thought.
Great knives I have been checking out vids on these war toads for like months now and im kicking myself for not grabbing up a custom one earlier from bladehq. but now I have my boker war toad on its way and yea I was thinking that theses would be easy to customize even for a someone who has never customized anything. but anyway I have to ask, do have any spare scales laying around the shop? and will you be doing another run of these at bladehq?
Looking forward to more vids from you! Finally again :) Too bad though that you took the most epic rant vid ever (on Böker) offline now. Was one of my favorite vids ever lol. Kind regards from Amsterdam
What the fuck makes you think the Chinese government is going to force people to work late hours without pay because of a German knife manufacturer? You have no clue how the world works. Boker employs quality Chinese production facilities that treat employees properly.
+Kyezie131 They don't own the rights to a hole. What they own is the design. You might think that there is no difference but the concept is what's important. The concept is not only the hole but it's placement, size and how it fits into the overall design.. ect...ect. Think Ronald MacDonald, yea I know sounds like a strange comparison but it's the same thing, McDonald's can't possible own the rights to clowns. But they can own the rights to the look of their. This is necessary to to stop someone coming along and capitalizing on their name with a knife that, to the average buyer looks the same. There is also one other detail. If company A says they own the rights to a hole and company B is using it, company A brings the smack down and a lawsuit is sure to follow. You might think it doesn't matter but if company B goes broke proving it it's a hollow victory. In this case Boker may be able to defend itself but I doubt Tuffknives could survive it and he would most certainly be named in a lawsuit. This is a common business practice and sinks a lot of start-up companies.
