Sorry I just deleted my last comment as you answered my question at the end. That’s my impatient ADHD for you. Anyway just want to say your rug is amazing! Thanks so much for the inspo!
Really cool graphic and great overview of the process. I'm really curious about the mechanics of the gun. I'll need to look that up. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! I don't want to take the attention off the rug - because it looks so amazing! - but I need to say how beautiful that piece of furniture is that appears on the left of the video! the details were made with parts of skateboard shapes too, right?!!! amazing, both
hey thanks brenda! it was! i made it last year, inspired from the broyhill brasilia collection that was made in the 60's. of course using recycled skateboards ✌️
@@AndrewSzeto yeah! i figured that was your inspiration, i'm from brazil and i just love broyhill brasilia, so nice to see you too! congratulations for the carpet and the furniture, 👏
Wish I was nearer to you, I’d love to try that gun! I use a manual needle with similar effect. I think you’ll find your loops appearance will even out with experience and regulating your travelling speed. There’s a whole world of rug making out there with a great divide between electric and manual. Maybe check out the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild website for a new rabbit hole. Not that you need one. 😉 keep that airstream content coming please! I made rugs for mine. 💕
@@AndrewSzeto I know, eh?! So much making to do, where does the time go? If you’d like to commiserate my husband and I just restored a ‘98 Airstream Excella. We had a ball! If you should change your mind about your Argosy Reno I’d be interested to take it off your hands. It’s a sweetie.
Andrew! Any chance I could get some guidance on La pavoni custom parts? Specifically how you did the threading for the handles and boiler cap? I would really appreciate any tips.
Hey Sam, they're M12 x 1.75 threading in those. I have a local fastener shop that I procured the threaded rod for. I also have a tap and dye kit too for creating thread in things. I bought that from my local hardware store. hope this helps!
Great film. Very well done and entertaining. Super hip project, I think we're in a carpet making Renaissance. : ) How many hours do you think you have spent on the large rug so far? Mahalo for sharing! : )
Any questions and thoughts on tufting, let me know what you think! If you're a homie in Ottawa too, I'm down with lending this out too! Let me know. Thanks a ton for checking this out!
