Not to mention the consequences if and when his superiors find out that he had caused an accident that led to the loss of the munitions, fuel, explosives, and Kraka-Toa, not to mention the damage sustained by the Old Dock from the fire. He knows that they would rip into him for his reckless incompetence. They might even demote him and clap him up in dry dock as punishment, if not scrap him or use him for target practice!
@@alexk8792 they probably used him as target practice like they did grampus, not only did he cause the explosion, fire and kill a crane, he also ended up killing a navy ship, one of his own, he most definitely was not spared, which would make sense why we never saw him again after this.

Ah my favorite kid's show where a naval tug bullies everyone and later causes everything to f*cking blow up and die and then gets towed away after he gets vietnam flashbacks Also I noticed there's more narration and music in some parts than in the vhs release of this episode
The 20-minute VHS releases were released early, to help keep the studio afloat until the series could air on TV (it’s why we only have 4 20-minute episodes). Since they were released earlier in production, you do see some minor differences outside of the cuts made for time. I think it’d be interesting to see how many differences there are in each episode total.
@Team light Productions 8:10 turn on subtitles, he didnt die. it was probably a situation where they *thought* he sacrificed himself in order to save them.
@@josephmarrison4606 I feel they added the line of him landing in shallow water because it wasn't explained/shown well in the original VHS cut, hence why it does have a rushed, out of place feel to it.
Imagine a bit of a human version to all this with a harbour filled with munitions lying all over the place cause there being loaded onto a navy ship and one slip up happens turning into a disaster At 6:17 I can imagine as soon as that knock over happens the workers would be scrambling off that pair for safty
@@laurab1279 Well, there is the theory that the show actually happens in the 30s, but the show (first season) only happens during 1 year, only if it was in the year of 1939, but that's just a stretch really.
I prefer the ending of this one to the 20 minute one because it makes more sense. Although the ending of the 20-minute one leaves up some questions that I do enjoy thinking about.
I feel like the ending narration was changed partly because some blame was put to OJ when he didn't do anything except place the marker buoys and watch over the munitions loading from the Zedds to Kraka-Toa, but the message still had a similar vibe. It's that and the explanation how Big Mickey survived that lead me to think they made those changes when re-editing the episode for it's TV version since episodes as they were then didn't reflect the show as it was by that point when it came to the TV airings given plans had changed or fell through, such as Big Mickey becoming Snatcher for Ghosts.
@@FireStormDel I think the references to High Tide were removed for the TV version not just to shorten it to 15 minutes, but so they could air Munitions first so Big Mickey being in High Tide would prove he lived. Didn't quite work since the 20 minute cut is on VHS and Captain Star didn't redo his lines for this change so High Tide is still his debut.
8:11 for those who believe that Big mickey survive the 15 min cut they never mention the steel contract in this version the 15 min has there own timeline i guess all TUGS was filmed 20 min.If you believe that Big mickey had a PTSD and went to sodor thats another timeline. And also u might mention why does sometimes Big mickey would appear in Ghost or in background it could be another crane or his parts was used to build another crane in the dock.
