Thanks for your reply...anyway, sure, it is appreciated a lot that Russia helped to get rid of nazi Germany, what isn't appreciated is that the independence of the new countries wasn't respected (and the genocide, etc). But enough of that! There are decent people everywhere, and also bad people. But you shouldn't think that people here hate Russians. This is simply not true. If you don't believe me, come and visit...there are some nice places to see here :)
Well, Russian government has said several times that everyone here is pretty fascist, even though these claims were simply based on lies (not denying that every country has their share of creeps, like all sorts of extremists, etc)...I think Russian government should be worried about the enormous numbers neo-nazis and hate crimes in Russia, not just blaming others. Also...never tried to dominate other countries? Then, please tell, what the USSR was all about?
Being a Nazi wasn't a shameful thing for all. Commanders like Rommel got respect even from allies for honourable conduct in times of war. Russian deportations, executions and gulag sentences did most certainly happen, they were documented by SU own people and some who came back had stories to bring with them along with mass graves, bodies, pictures, videos, actual campsites. Btw nationalism isn't a crime, more of a political way of thinking starting some centuries ago - we all do it.
USSR was equal to Stalin, but it made us more tolerant to other nations,coz we used to live with people of other nations, and speaking frankly a lot of people dream about to come back USSR, because at least at that time people had the stability, but couldn't speak English with other people like me,were deprived with free thinking,but the main problem actually is that people don't feel safe in Russia this is true. But I love my country though,as for government it really needs to change the policy
