Ahh, Tukayyid. Perfect reminder why the ComGuards' motto is 'Redde creditori tuo, fucko'. So remember to pay your bills, kids. Or you end up like Clan Smoke Jaguar. ☢🔥
Always pay your HPG Bills on time. Thank you for making another great mix! Your selection blended really well together. I'm looking forward to the next set that you have planned!
@Jason Skye this is why they only have an oral history from the time Aleksander Kerensky was fighting and how important logistical struggles were. They didn't glorify the warrior enough so get left out and over time forgotten.
The best equipped Technical Support department in history, only they're not equipped to help you with your queries, they're equipped to make your problems go away permenantly
Or when you think you found a bunch of lost tech from a previously undiscovered Castle Brian cache in some out of the way system and on your way back to known space your jump ship suddenly finds itself not at the jump point you expected to arrive at. Instead you are somewhere between stars and your ships computer starts playing a prerecorded message across the entire jumpship and all attached dropships. Followed by your comms and sensor operators telling you everything is being jammed. Looking out a window you can actually see a pristine white and massive jumpship of an unrecognizable design way too close for comfort, that appears to be launching small craft and escort aerospace fighters.. Que the pleasant female customer service representative voice from "How Battletech (2018) should have ended (why Tex shouldn't write video games)" posted by the Black Pants Legion 2 years ago.
“The clanner were unprepared for a war like this. This was not a war they had ever fought before, and thanks to Comstar’s success, it was not a war they would ever fight again. Comstar didn’t falter, they knew the cost of this. They blulldoze the corpses of their fallen comrades out of the way and kept attacking. When a clanner unit was spotted, something was flying at it. Artillery, rockets, missiles, aerospace assets, VTOL, tanks, infantry, whatever was at hand was put on the problem until it stopped being a problem.” -Tex of the Black Pants Legion
Somewhere during that war there must have been a charger who took out a mighty clan mech by throwing a large rock at it. Somewhere in that war there must have been a urbie who got to curb stomp a mighty clan mech. Good luck with having honor after either situation clanners you deserve it for making me sympathize with capellans.
@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus I'm getting the image of a Banshee pulling a direwolf's arm off, taking half the torso with it, and beating its timberwolf escort to scrap with it.
Of course how can we forget the conclusion? "ComStar ground its own forces down on the Clans knowing that no matter how fancy their crap was; you can still die if you tried hard enough."
Tbh can't really blame them. Other than the clans mindless commitment to honor, there would be little weaknesses to explore in their Mechs and Pilots. The IS did what it had to survive. And god damn did they teach the clans a lesson. Well, exept for the Wolves and Ghostbears.
Ah, AP rounds. I still have to test out my 12 AC/2 Annihilator in the tabletop. And the 16 LAC/2 version. I mean sure, I only have enough ammo for 10 rounds of combat on both... *But they're both so cheap that for the cost of two actual Annihilators I can slap a 1/2 pilot in both of them.*
Imagine sitting in a office building pushing paper for comstar with this banger list playing all day and looking out the window to see mechs shooting each other to bits. All you can think is great more paper work
Manager: Hey Greg, I noticed you were missing the cover of your TPS reports. Greg: I know. PPC hit the building, burned the cover. Manager: Heh, Riiight. You see, we need to put covers on these TPS reports. Did you get the official Blake Blessing Memo?
My daughter remarked that "this is the music that plays when you need to rush to get your math homework done." I explained it was for piloting giant robots. Now she wants to play.
@@JasonSkye When I first heard "3,4,5 face right" my ears tweaked a little but then I didn't think anything of it. Then I heard it again. And again. And slowly my eyes widened and I began to smile. You do not disappoint whatsoever with these tracks.
Little known fact: Clan Wolf's Scientist Caste built a 'Mech capable of folding its arms and rolling its eyes just so Ulric Kerensky could properly say "I told you so."
I love the throw back to Command and Conquer! I guess this makes up for the missed live stream ❤😊 This has been on repeat for the last 2 hours, it's my Monday fuel.
As a ComGuards player, I have to say that this is the best thing put out thus far to kick clanner butt to. Now where's my map, radio, and binos? I need to call for arty on those filthy Clanners.
"Greetings, clan invader dropships! We here at ComStar would like to remind you that for all verifiable legal purposes the ship you are currently looking at is NOT a warship. Please assume the Customer Service Submission Position. The teams of Tactical Customer Service Operatives cutting through your hull will be with you shortly."
@@JasonSkye They have to audit the clanners of all their SLDF contraband, of course, including but not limited to: -Omnimechs -Lostech -Powered armor -Ammunition -Life
Well this is definitely apropos for where my Mechwarrior Destiny game is right now. It's 3050, we're stuck on some nowheres-ville planet in the Combine that's so backwater it hasn't had an HPG since the 1SW, and it's been invaded by both Clan Ghost Bear _and_ Clan Smoke Jaguar. And we're a ragtag band of Canopian volunteers, random shanghai'd MechWarriors, and Clan Bondswoman (previously taken, from a Nova Cat 'observer' unit that the CSJs set up to fail.) Our first fight was against the Smoke Jaguars and we won hands-down but the only Bondswoman we took betrayed us (Smoke Jags are scum and booked with the only isorla 'Mech we captured. Our second fight was _also_ a stunning victory, too bad it was against the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery, when we came across a Company of DCMS soldiers who were trying to make local militia surrender their transports to the Dragons and die in the snow, and we said "actually we choose violence."
'It can't be bargained with! It can't be reasoned with! It doesn't feel pain, or fear or remorse! And it _ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT STOP---EVER!--until you are DEAD!_ ' (The opening track reminded me of this quote from T-1. BANGING JOB, M8! \m/ )
"We are the greatest fighting force with the best pilots and the best mechs the galaxy has ever seen! We are unstoppable! In Kerensky's name, all these degenerate barbarians and their inbread noble overlords will fall before us!" - The Clans "Get bent, weirdo." - Some phone company
Wow you're just cranking these out, thank you for continuing to extend my Battletech Playlist. Have you considered looking into the Hotline Miami soundtrack? some don't fit at all, but some are great additions to the Battletech Atmosphere, such as Knock Knock, or Inner Animal
You're very welcome indeed! The Hotline Miami soundtrack is phenomenal, I have a couple of tracks from it in my collection (Hydrogen by M.O.O.N. and Knock Knock by Scattle) but there are a bunch I've not heard since I first played the game many years ago. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give it a listen and see what I find 😁
Its actually hard to understate what an unmitigated disaster Operation Revival turned into. The clans walked into the inner sphere with over a century of technological innovation on their foes and somehow managed to lose every battle of consequence and then lost an entire clan in the counter attack that followed. The last Smoke Jaguar mech pilot burning herself alive in a mech over 160 years old as her world and culture burned around her because of war her foolhardy people started is the ultimate expression of what clanner ideology brings.
@@JasonSkye Haha the "trash" faction. I barely know MechWarrior lore and mostly enjoy the designs, so I make my own scratchbuilds with mech aesthetics.
@@spinafire "Imagine an entire bad neighborhood getting up, walking over to yours, and punching you in the face for trying to take out the garbage. And I don't mean the _people_ I mean the _real-estate_ " That's a description of the aesthetics of the Corvid Rebels from the game Brigador.
Your transition from hell march to cybernetic was super clean, and really conjured the feeling of violent, vigorous ambush followed by a drift back into the trees. Great show of skills sir, it got me to go back for the reexperience a couple of times.

I have never played any mechwarrior games but these mixes you make are incredible. "Canopus" one is my favourite. The arts themselves are also very cool, dunno where you find them. Please continue making these, great work.
Guess I know what I am listening to while I send comstar my regards after they sent their black inferno merc band against. You hear that comstar, imma make Tukayyid look like a playground. (Regards from a very pissed off Mech-pilot) Also love the mix, hahaha. Can’t wait to see more. Respect from a Australian mad man.
It concerns me how few people in the comments realize that some of this track is Hell March from the 'ol C&C days. Classic song. Good for any action game.
I fought with the Falcons at Tukayyid. I personally took down two ComStar BattleMechs in combat. I only accepted orders to withdraw from combat after the Khan ordered it personally. So when I say that we stood no chance at Tukayyid, heed my words. It was the right call to abandon _zellbrigen,_ and I know the Ghost Bears and Wolves agree. Those that stuck to it were fools. Their deaths meant that ComStar could bring more against those of us that fought the Old League on their terms. I left my sibko, my sisters, unburied on Tukayyid's soil. I still haven't been granted clearance travel to the planet so that I may bury them.
You continue to outdo yourself, Mr. Skye. I think this is the best one yet. It makes me happy that Frank Klepacki's work lives on. I really like the last song, mixing in some of that metal guitar style. 10/10, been looping the whole mix since you uploaded it, work has never been more productive or headbanging.
When the animated series hit, it got retconned into an in-universe fictional propaganda series. When the clans hit Tukayyid, taking up the challenge issued by Comstar, they got reduced to slag. Turns out Comstar lived by the creed "Information is ammunition".
@@JasonSkye Having listened to it a 2nd time, not one of; it is my favorite Hell March remake ever. In the previous song Heavy weapon, the first time I heard the 'Russian' chant ""Reform line, quick march."" I was like ... wait did I just hear that? ... and then the chills started to set in.
@@invictusanimi Thanks for the feedback, I'm particularly proud of this one and I hope it does well 😊. As for Hell March, when I teased it during Heavy Weapon I was hoping for exactly that reaction!
There's so much random good Battletech related stuff just seemingly popping out of nowhere on RU-vid right now. This is good, btw, but you knew that or you wouldn't have uploaded it. ;)
Another banger mix, Jason. It's crazy to watch your channel grow from the ground up, but with sets like these, it isn't surprising to me. Maybe something for the Clans in the future? Definitely seconding the title idea I saw earlier, "Batchall" would be perfect. Gotta have my Bears represented!
Thank you, that's really kind of you to say 😊. It's been rather daunting but amazing to see the channel growing, fingers crossed it will keep on going - I would be incredible to hit 10k some day! Yes indeed something for the Clans should be next, otherwise I might find myself on the wrong end of a Trial of Grievance! "Batchall" is such a great name for a mix, I shall have to use it 😁
_"Wars are not won on the field of combat. Battles are, but those are only ever part of the story. To win a war you need to break the enemy's resolve, to force him to accept defeat. Otherwise the war will never end. Too many conflicts persist because battles are won but the hearts and minds of the people are not. Winning involves every level of society, from the generals and politicians to the shop girls and street cleaners. The infantryman with his rifle may be the blunt weapon used to win this fight, but he is neither the instigator nor the concluder."_ _-Anastasias Focht, Eater of Clans_
Not sure if it's fair or not to use my religious affiliation to get me to click and download a video like this... But Blake be Praised this is good stuff!
Just a reminder that Comstar took over and destroyed the last spacefaring battleship from the Lost Age, and they have "Tech Wizards". Do with that information as you wish.
"We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again! The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!" - Jean-Luc Picard
Question, have you ever thought of putting this as a mod for MechWarrior 5 on Steam? I'd really like to listen to this and your other works while blasting away
"The clans had played at war, turned it into a game of who was the best. The inner sphere had practiced war, learning for centuries upon the bones of the fallen that the terrible cost of lives and equipment was the only true way to win."
