Here's a time-lapse video of how I paint this beautiful and vibrant tulip in acrylic paints on a 3"x3" canvas.
It's a great painting to try for beginners if you'll like to follow along or just enjoy watching.
I use yellow for the base coat. Then I mix it with red to get orange to darken up the yellow while keeping it vibrant. To darken the red I mix a bit of blue. For highlights I added a bit of yellow to white. For brightest areas I just added white.
