Which bodybuilder/weightlifter/powerlifter/wrestler would you all want to play Tulkas in a movie or show? Arnold, Ronnie Coleman, John Cena or the Rock (while they were or are all in their primes) would be some of my ideas lol! After making this video, I gotta go hit the gym now, I'm feeling too inspired not to. This one's for Tulkas!
Eru: I need The Ainur to shape this world. Yavanna:I'm going to shape the world into a garden. Melkor: I'm going to shape the world at my own image. Aulë: I'm shaping this world into mineral rich landscape. Tulkas: I'm shaping my fist into melkor's face.
Tulkas in the Third Age- you know, I could just go over there myself and fix this Sauron problem for them Sauron- I left my uh...my car keys, yep, left them on the other side of the world....bye!
Tulkas was the only Valar that Morgoth truly feared. He was scared shitless of him lol. Tulkas could pound Morgoth flat and hurl him like a discus out of Arda and into the void. He is without a doubt my favorite Valar. He is a very likable amiable character. I salute you the great muscled westler of Aman: Tulkas the Great!
@@balrog262 Yes that's very true. He did fear and hate them too. But he was more frightened of Tulkas because Morgoth knew he could be bested physically in a fight one on one with him.
@@fenrir-art4742 imagine if tulkas vs melkor actually came to life on screen and the music that played was the same music when Gandalf fought the belrog and fell into the moria underworld 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🥶🥶🥶🥶
His name resembles Finnish word "Tulkaa", imperative second person plural of the word "Tulla", meaning "Come". Man's name is literally "Come at me y'all!"
"What'choo gonna do, Melkor? What'choo gonna do when Tulkamania and the largest arms in Valinor run wild on you?" Tulkas reminds me of Gilgamesh or Enkidu.
According to myths, in the Void while he is waiting for Dagor Dagorath, Morgoth is still awakening screaming and sweating in full PTSD because of what Tulkas did to him
What seems quite unique about Tulkas amongst the Valar is his light-heartedness. Laughter is something rare and precious in Tokien's works. I'm sure he'd befriend Tom Bombadil for this shared characteristic.
My favorite thing about Tulkas isn’t his massive power or his incredible acts of badassery, it’s the fact that he’s always happy and literally lives in the moment. He is joy, power, and the delight of combat rolled into one.
Man It killed me in the Silmarilion when Tulkas walked up to Melkor in the first war and said "it's Tulking time" and then proceeded to Tulkas all over him
What I like about Tulkas is that as far as Vala goes, he doesn't a shit, but when everyone else needs help they call on him to beat Melkor's ass. Several times. And he does this. Several times. The guy has one job, and he does it well.
Thor from Disney Marvel: I am going to get a new hammer. Tulkas: Hammer! Ha! Don't flail around when you should have more strength on your side. You don't seem to be a god to me.
Tulkas is a mix of Thor and The Hulk because of his look & fighting-skills. If there was a Silmarillion-movie. I think Chris Hemmsworth could play him!
@@sebastiaanvanveen3719 nah then that would be sentry from marvel...... He is also know as the golden gladiator...... Just like the pic of tulkas from here
I really appreciate your videos. You do a real through adaptation of the history while making it exciting yet not overly done. Looking forward to watching all your videos. Oh and I'm glad I finally know how to pronounce half the elvish names probably after for so!
I really loved this video...and another awesome fact about Tulkas is There are two other warrior vala in book of lost tales 1 Makar and his fierce sister Meassë. Tulkas sometimes goes to their house to wrestle with Makar as a practice of strength
I like your narrating in this video! You seem to enjoy this this individual Vala! He was one of my favorites as well as he took on Melkor and wrestled with him. This would be awesome to see in a movie. I often thought that the making of the Music of Ainur singing for Eru would be a glorious site and hearing. But, Yoystan you work out ? :) I knew it! I can tell by that strong voice of yours.
I wonder, as a fan of Tolkien and Gloryhammer, whether Tulkas was an inspiration for the Hootsman "ALRIGHT MORGOTH! YOUR EVIL REIGN OF TERROR ENDS TODAY! MY NAME IS TULKAS, AND I SERVE THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE GOD OF ARDA!" "IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO FACE THE WRATH! OF! VALAR!"
The reason why Tulkas doesn't have much role during Silmarillion is that he only appears to unlock the key or in some cases to lock Melkor. His strength doesn't even need a weapon or maia that shows another power he is holding, maybe not fancy like other Valar. But in the end, his time is very limited except a real fight in official canon. Great video Yoystan!
The 47 dislikes are Melkor and his legion of the balrogs. Love your video by the way. I feel that Tulkas is a mix of Thor and Heracles I imagine Tolkien was inspired by both of those mighty demigods. or maybe even chu Cullen?
I am a bodybuilder and I got a great laugh and smile by the way you described Tolcas! Your videos are are my favorites by far just for your personality that you infuse into the wonderful descriptions of all! Honestly just out of curiosity I wish I could put a face with your name cuz I'd be curious to know what you look like. No homo of course I just got a picture in my head and your name if weather when you changed it to or your real name is pretty cool cuz I've never heard it before. My name is Brian and I know a million of those but I am still unique. Thank you for the hours and hours of joy and the wonderful message you put into all you do all these videos. Let's just say there is no discord in you at all and yes I think the Valar would be proud!! I know JRR Tolkien would be impressed himself by the Justice you do his videos.
At the chaining of Melkor, I always imagined Tulkas smooshing his face into the dirt with one hand and laughing hysterically as he uncoils the chain Angainor with his other hand like "haha! You didn't think I was gonna getcha! lmao but I got you!" 🤣🤣
Tulsa’s definitely the most badass of the Valar. As men go, Hurin prior to capture, ‘70 times, day will come again’. Now that’s a great tag team. Lol. Thanks for my Sunday video. All you do is greatly appreciated.
I particularly like this character feature, I was thinking about Tulkas the other day. I'm sure Melkor was extremely irritated to hear that laughter while getting his ass kicked
My brother used to name himself tulkas in all our 1v1 and Co op games back then I was 5 I still see my brother as tulkas and can't make any character or account with that name it reminds me of my brother and i feel like im stealing his character 😂 and boy the lecture of this character is amazing "meet your troubles laughing at it with all your strength" thanks guys, great video!👌👌👌👌
I imagine that you are the greatest in strength. The greatest truly in so much Yoystan. Your arms are truly made of pure metal and woven into buff perfection. Such a dream it would be to see them.
Amazing video as usual Yoystan! Tulkas, your Valar, would be very proud of his Maiar. Tulkas is so awesome and because he is straightforward, he sees through Melkor's lying and scheming so well and should have been allowed by Manwe to beat Melkor into a pulp.
I suspect Tulkas always knew Melkor was going to order the never-ending knuckle sandwich special and was just *waiting* to deliver it, but also knew he had to wait for the order first. "Yeah, you haven't done anything, buddy...yet. But you will." [clenches fists so the joints make popping sounds as Melkor walks away]
Tulkas reminds me of the archangel Michael and Abaddon/Apollyon. I very much like the idea Tolkien combined these elements with those of Thor, Gilgamesh, etc.
The highlight for me is when Melkor’s role in the corruption of the Noldor is first revealed at Fëanor’s trial, and, like the exact moment he hears it, Tulkas speedruns out of the Ring of Doom to find him and beat him up😂
The translation team for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night slipped in a lot of Tolkien references (namedropping Nauglamir, Azaghal, Varda and the One Ring as a twofer, Wargs, Narsil, Gurthang, Lossoth, Sword of Hador, Crissaegrim, Mablung, Feanor, Mim, Orcrist, Glamdring...), one of which was renaming the "Orihalcum" weapon into... THE FIST OF TULKAS! A set of gloves, it has very short attack range (just your fists instead of a sword), but is the strongest fist weapon and unlocks a few Street Fighter-esque special moves. Quite awesome.
Tulkas was a fighter not a leader. Melkor is called mightiest of all valar for a reason, he was smart, calculating and also stronger before his powers waned.
@@glennross85 well that’s a underrating statement, if he wasn’t smart he wouldn’t be able accomplish all those evil deeeds, plus add in the fact that he was all alone alongside some minor maiar he was able to bring along
