Not my first Rodeo: lessons from the heartland... this book tells the story of Kristi Noem growing up on a So Dakota ranch. when her father passed away every member of the family realized in order to survive they had to stick together. life in So Dakota is different because folks look out for each other. the covid pandemic showed what keeping a state open for business compared to shutting down does to the economy. Smithfield's pork plant in Sioux Falls never shut down. Sturgis Rally had a record turnout. thats why folks are moving to So Dakota
