Lovely, melodious, soulful rendering by both….the reigning queens of Carnatic and Hindustani. Initially I thought the jugalbandi js going to be fierce full like the dance between Vyjayantjimala 9:44 and Padmini .But has turned out to be so soft full of Bhakti reaching out to the audiences’ heart. @@bluewaters2231Safi ism, is full of music. Akbar the moghul emperor had Tansen a famous singer in his durbar. He too a muslim. He also went Surdas Tansen 's guru and listened music. Music is halal is only for Sunni muslims and islamic fundamentalists. Also there is no boundary for music. Soul searching songs or music connects us with the Supreme God.

Melodious & blissful! Marvel at Sudha for taking up the challenge with Kaushiki who is much younger & hence able to reach higher octaves with ease. In addition it is a Hindustani raag that is not sung elaborately in Karnatic music. So it's not a level playing field for Sudha, hence there is some anxiety in her.
Kaushiki Chakraborty is a Bengali and like her illustrious father Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, belong to the Patiala Gharana. She's also one of the finest exponents of Rabindrasangeet and sings for cinema, too. 🙏
