Great video. I'm lucky to work somewhere with calcite just all over the place in several different colors and while none of it is super high quality I think it's going to be gorgeous when it's all polished. Can't wait to try this.

Shannon Wondering if you've done orchid calcite. I bought a bunch of rough at a lapidary in New Mexico. I am new to tumbling and oblivious at times. I buy whats pretty, no one tells me at the lapidary it shouldn't be tumbled when I buy it. One comment in a rock forum said to possibly add baking soda to the water to increase the ph so it didn't dissolve the calcite. HELP

how much rock to media did you do? i have a few pounds of calcite that i would like to try!

I used about 1.5-1 lbs in a 3 lb barrel :-) I hope you try it - it's fast and really fun to polish!

@@ReikiGemWellness i am going to try your dry polish method after watching this. i have all the materials now, just need an empty tumbler. and needed to know how much to do at a time to get the best results.
