I love elements from all three of these styles. They definitely influence my style today since I didn't have the confidence or means to dress like that when I was younger. I feel like a lot of people trash the Tumblr styles much like how some of us make fun of the 2000s (I am part of this club but as a joke. If you like this style you do you and I respect that). I agree though I hope the fashion comes back but we leave behind the internal misogyny and harmful framing mental illness as an asethic.
Yeah i think its just natural when things go out of style, im sure a few years from now people will be trashing today’s trends 😅 i really do like these styles too tho and i feel the same way, i didnt have the means to dress in the tumblr grunge style at the time but i always loved the style and now i can bring some of those elements into my wardrobe today :)
This brings back so much memory. I always wanted to fit more into the Tumblr Grunge, but I never figured out how I could do so without feeling like I put a costume on. This style of clothing just doesn't suit me. I would love to see a part two of this video, and I am suggesting to include the Lita boots in there, they were my staples.
Always get sk happy when you upload!! I'm just starting to get into figuring out my own style. I have quite a few items I really like, but I hardly know ways to put outfits together 🥲 so do you have any tips?! pLEEEEEASE
Aw thank you! I would say try to figure out a color palette for your outfit and try to put together pieces in those colors, experiment a lot and just throw things together and see what looks good, and dont forget to accessorize and layer! My video on how to layer aesthetically might help too :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OuC0FCO9FAY.html
I am really really enjoying and appreciating all your videos. So many wonderful examples and a lot of hard work with all of the pictures and research. And each video gives so much inspiration and I have to say I really enjoy so many elements of tons of aesthetic‘s and have incorporated them into my wardrobe throughout the evolution of my fashion journey my entire life knowingly or unknowingly I just gravitate towards what feels good looks good I don’t have one particular aesthetic and I think that’s amazing it usually changes based on situation/career/occasion/where I live or what I’m into. Looking forward to seeing the video on Japanese inspirations!
Thank you so much for doing a video on this era of fashion. A lot of people seem to focus more on the early 2000s then these styles, (maybe because they are more recent) and when they do it's usually to point out their worst. I was a teenager during the typical 2014 styles, although I couldnt afford trendy clothes and usually got my stuff from thrift shops so I couldn't really dress that way. Nowadays, however this is the style I really gravitate toward, especially the more grungy style so I really love to see videos on the styles to help me find inspiration.
Hey! I've been watching your videos for a while and I was wondering if you could do a video on sort of maybe an autumncore aesthetic, or the downtown girl aesthetic, and also the sort of rory gilmore aesthetic!!
