Hello Dr. I am 3 weeks post op tummy tuck/lipo and I am still draining? Is this normal? The drainage has a yellowish color. Also my body looks deformed and flat fromthe back, should I be concerned? Thank you so much for your time!
I had a diep flap procedure due to breast cancer and not wanting to go flat or get implants. It was a 10 hour surgery that included tummy tuck to obtain skin and fat to fully reconstruct two breasts so they will be as natural as possible. They also removed nipples and replaced them with skin from abdomen so they can later tattoo on “ nipples” so they will look more real. Waking up from that long surgery was so painful. I thought I was dying. I couldn’t move at all and it hurt to breathe even and even worse if I cried. But after a month, I am doing so much better and all I can say is thank God plastic surgeons can do what they do because I now have breasts that feel natural and look pretty good. They even lifted them up so they look perkier. And they tightened and closed my abdominal muscles (that’s what hurts the most while recovering). Not only do my breasts look better but I now have a flat belly that looks amazing. The scar is wide but low enough so I can wear a bathing suit. I can’t really complain about much. Just glad I’m alive and that doctors exist that help fix you up so you don’t have major self image issues after cancer.
I'm currently 19 years old I have been in a weight loss journey. I have lost 75 pounds and still going! I plan to have this surgery because of loose skin, and you really have helped me understand I should find out more about the surgery and not be crazy and get more things done at the same time. I hope to be one of your patients in the future!!!
@@m.b.1702 so they should just have all that loose skin and separated abdominal muscles until they are older? They lost 75 pounds that’s a lot of stretched out skin.
Just had a tummy tuck done here in Portland at Burgess plastic surgery. I’m 2 weeks out. Really happy I did it. I had lost 75 pounds after having 2 kids. Lots of loose skin that just never came back. And my tax refund paid for it! 😅
I had a tummy tuck/ liposuction and a breast reduction in Turkey 10 days ago. My home country is Germany. 2 drains were in my tummy and 2 in my breast they have been removed after 2 days. I was barely in pain, but it is very uncomfortable for sure. Thank god, I am feeling better every day. My surgeon told me not to walk straight for 14 days, but I am worrying that I am not able to walk straight anymore at all. The scars are partly still red, but I hope that it will go away soon. I have a scar in my belly button, what is weird to me, but everything else went well so far, as far as I can tell, my surgeon was really good.I am so thankful for that clip, many of my questions are answered now. That you so much🤗
I went to a plastic surgeon for a consult a couple weeks ago & he said he does the quilting sutures with no drains. That was the first I had heard of it! In all of the research I have done & the videos I have watched, every tummy tuck has been done with drains. But I am glad to hear you also use this technique! It just makes me slightly nervous that he uses no drains at all. But he said the chance of developing a seroma with this method are very very low.
Thank you for mentioning multiple surgeries at once. I told that Dr. I didn't want my arms done with a TT. Thank you for your cautious recommendations and aren't you the Dr. on TV who give the natural Anti Aging process on TV. This is like a free Consultation and "I am Listening"
The pain pump was a dream thank god for i make a week tomorrow from My TT and I’m happy to hear my doctor did almost every single thing you mentioned 🙌🏽
Jennii_oo Ho Hi Jenni! I’m going to undergo a mommy makeover in a couple of weeks and never heard about the pain pump... I’m not sure if they use it here in Brasil. Please tell how you liked your surgery and how your belly button looks like now! Thank you!
I love this doctor, he is so patient! I just had a tummy tuck and am happy so far with the results but the surgeon just can't wait to get you out of his office and gives very little information on how to care for the scar or any kind of information really...
Hi. I am Pedro, a Brazilian entrepreneur starting a new venture focused on making American women`s life easier (and safer) when deciding to have plastic surgery. We aim to provide access to great doctors at a much affordable price in Brazil. In order to help us prototype our product, it would be great if you could answer a very quick survey (2min) in order we understand what would make (or prevent) an American woman to consider coming to Brazil for having plastic surgery Thanks so much. form.jotform.com/203086984312053
I have seen the “quilt stitches” and they seen to give the abdomen more definition. The way you do a tummy tuck seems to ,make most sense instead of aggressive liposuction.
Oh I'm so glad I listened to this. Especially Re: Liposuction before TT. I just had a consult that included LS B4 TT. and Arms done for a grand Total of 25K. I said: No and Thank You!. I will listen to the Lipo TT Risk part again.
This video is very informative doc. Thank you for educating the public. Surgery is not something to be taken lightly and trying to save a few dollars by going to unqualified surgeons is never a good idea. My question for this video is as followed. Is there a website we can go to that gives us the names and information of accredited surgeons ?
@@Sw3etNe3ks Many doctors refer to each other reciprocally. For something as extensive as a tummy tuck, it is probably best to be in your home town. Unless, of course, you have limitless funds and can afford to stay out of town for weeks or fly back and forth.
I love Dr Youn. He is awesome. Amazing Dr Holistic Surgeon.. If go for Plastic surgery I straight away make appointment with him I trust my beauty in his hand and knife.
I’m 24 and getting my tummy tuck in March. I have a lot of loose skin and muscle separation for having 2 children as well as significant fast weight loss.
Thank you Doctor for your invaluable feedback, experience and expertise! And for also keeping up with the latest techniques in plastic surgery and keeping us informed. As well, being a holistic doctor! That is fantastic! Thanks for this informative video, and I hope you will continue to keep us posted on all things plastic surgery and health related, in relation to these types of surgeries. Thanks again! You are much appreciated. Also, your skin looks amazing!
Im getting an extended abdominoplasty without drains in june! Ive lost 130lb and this is going to change my life /self image! This video is soooo helpful!!
I was expecting you to be across the country like in California but I see you're near my hometown right here in Troy, Michigan. I'm pretty exciteddd!!! See you in a year or two!!😀

Wow the most honest plastic surgeon I’ve come across. I’ve been contemplating a TT for years but so skeptical about the drs and said procedure. However, if This dr was in my area I would definitely do it!
He explained then goes over all this stuff really well but I'm telling you there are some super videos online of younger girls that are having it done or younger moms that take you to it start to finish lucky really don't want to watch it because you know it's a little scary I had mine done 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 63 you're going to be out you're not even going to know what going on just like I told somebody else if this is a an adventure that you plan on taking the biggest thing I can tell you is go out and get a walker crazy things that old people Shuffle around in get it from a thrift shop be the best $10 you'll ever spend
You have given me hope . I would really love for you to be able to do my Tummy tuck and also skin removal on my legs ,arms and back area after losing a lot of weight. Thank god for fantastic people like you.
Thank you so much I’ve been eating my bbl and T.T for four years now and I’m finally going through it in November I’m doing more research and looking for the right doc. Thank you so much for this video !
very interesting -- I personally don't care if I have a high scar after getting surgery. In my mind it's just a badge of honor. I've lost 100+ pounds w diet, exercise and am a marathon runner again! Honestly, if I can get more tissue removed and have a flatter stomach/ better profile in clothes that incision can be as high as it needs to be. Acknowledging "I will never be an underwear or Sports illustrated bikini model"! I have a consultation next month and will learn more about my options

I’m scheduled for a super extended tummy tuck, breast lift and augmentation this coming February in Miami with a triple board certified surgeon. Any tips?!?
Do your research and look at any patient "reviews" for any complaints. Always check with the State of FL for any issues, malpractice lawsuits, etc. Any surgery has its risks. Good luck to you!
My doctor is in his 70's and also learned the no drain tummy tuck about 7 years ago in TX. This is his plan for me. I'm so nervous to get it done in January. I'm so worried I will be too nervous and excited the day of for them to do it.
Awwww I can relate☺️I was excited and nervous myself 3yrs ago before my Tummy Tuck. It seems like your surgeon is well experienced👍🏽 safe surgery and happy recovery 🙏🏽
What if you only have the big pouch below your belly button. Can that just be cut off with lipo on the love handles? Also I have been cut in the same bikini scar, for other things, over and over, is that a problem? Should you diet before a tummy tuck?
This so informative thank you! What I did to help me move my bowls was drink lots of water 8 glass a day. And I also brought baby food pouches with fiber and drink veggie superpower green juice. Just got my tummy tuck/liposuction on November 4., 2020. Pain is tolerable taking all my medication as follow and vitamins. And walk like Dr Tony said. So grateful for my mother in law and step daughter who are taking care of me.

I'm so thankful that there are doctors like this that will take the time to inform the public and people thinking about doing this so we know what to expect, how to avoid mistakes or God forbid the botched plastic surgery.. God Bless Dr. Youn.
I just had skin removal and lift on butt/ hips after losing 132lbs with gastric bypass it’s been rough but getting better quickly. I want the tummy tuck but also nervous. Thank you this video is great
@@msn-hn9eb Hi, Inwas able to walk alone but I did need assistance after going to the bathroom to close the garment. Since However, I was only able to walk to the bathroom then got tired pretty fast. Every day I increased my walks by minutes. I was afraid to get blood cloths on legs and just keep in standing up every hr - this is I think at 3-4 days.
I am having an abdominoplasty in 3 weeks. Looking forward to see my belly gone (it is genetic belly that all the women in my mum’s family have), but I am also terrified of the pain afterwards 😓
Maria don't be scared. I had my tummy tuck done 2 years ago at the ripe old age of 63 my stomach look like a sponge that was awful. The first thing you have to do is remember to take care of yourself the second thing is I went on the internet and I learned a lot the best piece of advice that I got was to go get a walker you cannot stand up straight after this operation that is what makes it difficult but if you have a walker you can maneuver yourself up rest your arms, on this side of the Walker and then you kind of Shuffle Let The Walker do the work number one you won't fall down I'm telling you it was a lifesaver for me the one day I was up I was taking myself to the bathroom you just have to understand you have to go slowly as for pain that the first day one pain pill the following day going back to the doctor's office I took one pain pill after that I didn't need any more pain medication you take it easy you move slowly this is not a race and before you know it you'll be walking don't rush yourself I believe in the internet you will see some things that aren't so good but there are few people out there that show you start to finish how they maneuvered it and I can't even explain how much better I feel and look it's amazing absolutely amazing and I wish I would have done it sooner take your antibiotics drink a lot of water make sure you eat something even if you just have soup but I'm not a huge proponent of don't baby yourself you'll be fine if it's 63 I can do it and tell you right now that is the best thing next to having breast plants put him at 64 that I've done for myself oh and PS you can get a walker and Annie Thrift Shop four five six dollars do you want be the best investment you ever made if you need more encouragement just hit me back on this comment section if you like your surgeon and you're happy with the treatment that you had up to this point you're going to sail through it so don't worry about pain the pain was not that big a deal maybe a day and a half just go to sleep but make sure you walking keep saying I Walker good luck
@@soulmatelost2014 Thanks so much for taking the time to calm me down, that was so sweet❤️ I had it on Wednesday and pain has been completely tolerable. Also I am recovering so fast and smoothly I am really surprised with how my body is handling everything, but very happy😊Thank you!!
Yeah, I’m thinking about a Tummy Tuck but my friends r like u don’t need it but as I get older the skin is becoming very loose & flabby. I don’t wNt to wait til my plastic surgeon retires. So, maybe the end of this year. I’m nervous, bc like Dr. Youn said my doctor is also worried about blood 🩸 clots. I’m glad to see so many women have similar concerns. I think 🤔 a Tummy Tuck for women is a treat 4 us. Non- Selfish bc moms look after everyone husband kids what about us. Like one lady joked on the internet & said if I lose my stomach Don’t Talk to her & I said me too. Lol 😂 I’d be so happy in the mirror all the time. I already bought a smaller size & swimsuit 🩱 😅
I would like to be a poster woman for tummy tucks for women over the age of 63 that's when I had mine and that was now 2 years ago I sailed through it no complications only took two pain pills and it was worth every penny I just wish I would have known that there was a another form of tummy tuck that actually pulls the skin on your side so you don't have the two little bulky size no big deal but I just wish I would have known about the accordion I would have had that done but I am 65 years old and I've had a tummy tuck I have had breast implants with a lift those worked out beautifully the only thing I did that I hate was getting a lower facelift and neck it was never any good from the time he finished I guess I should have investigated just a little bit harder on that but he did so well with Itami talking and the breast but it's okay I'll just have someone else fix it for me did I'm 65 now and I have the stomach of a twenty-year-old
What about repair of the C section scar after 21 years? Patient did the holistic approach for almost 1 year) Losing weight From 68 kg to 55 kg. Did her workout, intermittent fasting Now the patient is fit and muscles are tightened. Plastic surgeon will repair and mini abdominalplasty.😊
My tummy tuck stitched my abdominal muscles to correct the large gap caused by my two 10 pound babies, causing my Back to hurt no matter what, but I ended up with an ugly “apron” with a low sitting roll of fat. So embarrassing it shows under my clothing. But I can stand up straight and my back never hurts!
Dear doctor Tony, thank you for such a great explanation on tummy tuck + breast implant. I am your number one fan!!! I live in Brazil but if I didn’t I would have a tummy tuck surgery with you! I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions as I’m planing on having a mommy makeover. - Have you ever heard about compression socks after a tummy tuck? If so, is that important? - how soon can your patients return to their exercise routine, including weight lifting, crunches and bike riding? How about driving? - what do you recommend to improve the quality of the scars? What about keloids? - is there anything a patient can do to avoid the ugly belly button that I have seen so often after this procedure? You will make me so happy if you answer my questions!...
GR MI here. Lost 120 lbs 5 yrs ago & maintained it to date. I’m almost 60 and wondered when is too old for some surgery’s? My arms & neck seem to be what bothers me the worse. Skin elasticity changes w/age so wondered if it’s worth it?
Thank you for always having such honest and informative videos. You enlighten us on what these surgeries intale. What to be looking out for..questions to ask the surgeon. Do you have a video on arm bat wing surgery? I need this more than any surgery.
Do more researches and scrutinies . That surgery is so complicated and not a child's play at all pls pls. My friend is still on post-surgery treatments year after year. Spending a lot of money. Infact she wished she never ventured to get the surgery done. 😰

Thank you Dr. Anthony Youn. Exactly why I got Lipo in advance last year before I make my appointment for my tummy tuck this year. Everything is calculated.
Doc! What do you mean liposuction ... the tummy prior to pulling the skin down??? When a tummy tuck is done - the fat is sucked out after lower incision is made - then fat is removed - then the incision is closed... I am confused🙁 please correct me?
Hi Dr. Young, thanks for this video and all the great content you share. While recovering from a tummy tuck, how can I help my belly button shape into a pretty belly button? Do you recommend the marble technique?
For me it took around 3 days to even be able to walk to the toilet u need someone cuz u will even probably be a little dizzy. Imagine if you passout and fall ...
I really need to travel to get the work done by you. I live in Palm Springs and they say one thing in Advertisements and another in person. It's frustrating.

Hello Dr.! I have a tummy tuck 5mths ago. When can I start going set up? Although I had a tummy tuck my stomach is still not as flat as I want it to be.
I don't know how he does them but I can tell you personally do your homework my doctor did a excellent job but I didn't know that there's a thing called the accordion tummy tuck were they actually pull the loose skin from your sides also and then pull down I didn't know about that I wish I would have make sure you bring that up for the doctor because a lot just goes hip to hip
Hello I live in Philadelphia I’m doing a keto diet now I’m a single mom and I need a plus size tummy tuck I have 2 ? One is do a tummy tuck help with the love handles and how Long is recovery time
Yes may I please get some quotes? I do know that my tummy would have to be from hip to hip. My health is good, I am on blood pressure medicine which it’s always good when checked.
I got abdominalplasty on 10/26/23. I'm a juvenile diabetic who didn't have insurance for several years and reused needles, didn't eat well, and took high doses of over-the-counter NPH and regular insulin. I ended up with extensive scar tissue and lipo hypertrophy from the insulin, I didn't rotate injection sites. I lost over 60lbs (I was 240 lbs) with the keto diet and kept it off for 3 years, so my reward to myself was to have all of that scar tissue and lipo hypertrophy removed with abdominalplasty, flank lipo, and the abdominal muscle repair. I definitely wouldn't define it as "botched" because I've seen some really bad botched surgeries on RU-vid , but it could have been a lot better and definitely wouldn't have been at Dr. Youn's standards. I have a "pinch crease" on one of my right side. It makes it look like I was cut in half and when I was glued back together, the top and bottom was offset, so I have a little "spike" coming out of my side. My surgeon also said that the belly button will have discoloration, scars, and it's round rather than a vertical oval with a hood. I know that's a pet peeve of Dr. Youn. I only found Dr. Youn's channel tonight, 12/24/23, and I've been watching his videos for the last 5 hours. Dr. Youn's operation on this lady came out much better, than mine. I don't live anywhere near Michigan though.
Very interesting and informative. I recently had a 'virtual consult' with a surgery center. When they saw (pictures) that I have a burn scar underneath my navel, they stopped calling or answering my calls 🤷🏽♀️ Could it be a sign that they are not experienced enough to perform a tummy tuck on a person with an existing scar 🤔
