In this one Capt. Phil Howarth talks about how he prefers to chase Bluefin Tuna on the spin. This is probably one of his favorite topics to talk about as he loves catching BIG Tuna on light tackle. www.TheMightyFish.com 508-255-0455
Another helpful and informative video. Phil is the man! I always appreciate the info on gear combos and the technique tips. Now all I need to do is outfit myself and hope I'm lucky enough to get one on the line. I'll be sure to stop by before the season kicks off and stock up. Tight Lines!!!
I was in Croatia and saw big tunas and we catch one(140kg), but my goal is a tuna on spinning tackle. I want to ask you which road should i buy? Nice Video👍👌
Good stuff! I’m a hack and have enough gear for expensive losses. All around most expensive version of recreational fishing. If you think the rods and reels are expensive, wait until you buy hollow core line, leaders, lures, and terminal tackle. ....or go cheap and break your heart on a big fish!
How much drag is good for catching tuna sir? Can you land a 60kg-100kg using only 11-15kg of drag reel. Just a beginner need a professional advice thanks
You can, but you are going to be fighting the fish for a long time.... (and, you need to resist the urge to crank your drag down to make some better progress cuz you'll bust off...) it gets rough watching all your progress get consistently peeled back off
im looking going to SD California to do some tuna fishing all i have for rods is only ugly stick rods 7 ft for fresh water fishing what size do you recommend
