That is nuts . The seals had no idea they could eat that tuna . The 115 kg blufin in my profile pic got worked by 2 big bull seals at egalhawk neck . We where very lucky to get it of them . We had to give them a little pat on the nose with the baseball bat and a gaffe

I don’t understand how those size seals could scarf a whole 150lbs bluefin, I’m in SoCal and we loose 40lbs yellowtail to seals but not big tuna like that, sharks yes, they will eat a large bluefin seconds... how do they do it, do they all team up on one tuna or does one large seal take the Tuna, what an awesome video!!! Big eye Tuna not 150lbs, I said 300lb bluefin and it only takes one seal to do it

That’s is Gnarly, I don’t think I’ve ever lost anything over 50lbs to seal but I’ve lost a boat load under 40lbs, thanks for the response and love the videos, it’s a ton of fun but a lot of work, appreciate🍀

I have only one question how deep is the water or how far out are you Fishing becauseOn the charts the water around that island is not very deep but there is a shelf 30 miles south of it you guys should finish that drop off

Don’t need deep water for Bluefin. We catch them as shallow as 10m.

The video was only a snapshot of the trip. The fish was bled. gilled, gutted, and packed with ice soon after landing.

This is why there is no fish left. People go to any lengths to catch and take. Why cant you fish enjoy the fight and let them go. I let almost all fish go now
