The what-ifs have his head muddled, and Rey makes a visit to a particular spot in his and Kriya's story that he had almost completely forgotten about.

Nah, Not Swayam. Wasn't that the 𝘣𝘪𝘨 lie? Psh.
But there 𝘸𝘢𝘴 some sort of conviction in the way she said those words. She could not have said all that she did just to cause him pain, could she have? Surely, nothing warranted that kind of cruelty.
So that makes it true? It's not all that far fetched. After all, Swayam 𝘸𝘢𝘴 the only one she chose to stay in touch with.
He starts to look at a lot of things differently- like the way she seems so much more animated while talking to Swayam; how every decision she takes seems to require Swayam's approval.
He's harshly reminded of the time they were on separate teams- when it was always 'them versus him', and how that would make him feel.
It almost feels that way again.
Rey hates that his mind messes with him so, but the thoughts keep coming back, and he struggles to not lash out.
Meanwhile Swayam is mostly confused by
Rey's behaviour.
