Enjoy the symphony that comes out of this little 1.4L! We mic’d up the full Ragazzon Exhaust, and the engine bay with the EC V4 Intake and Forge BOV on my 124 Spider Abarth. The 124 Abarth is running a Eurocompulsion Phase 1 tune with Burbles.

Thanks man!! After this I swapped the wastegate spring and pretty sure she's running smooth now up top. Will have to take her out for some more pulls. It's funny how I initially Mic'd Up the car to get some sweet sounds but it helped figure out the issues as well lol Bigger things coming in 2021!

sounds absolutely incredible, great work with the mic setup for all the engine, intake,bov and exhaust sounds. hopefully we could meet up soon, we live not to far from each other. I live in Staten Island ny and im always in New Jersey at least twice a week.

This is absolutely the best sounding 4 cylinder on the market. How are you liking the Phase 1 tune?

I agree they sound incredible! I love the tune! Pulls strong and feels so much better than stock. This is how it should have came from the factory :) I had some minor issues with the Wastegate and BOV spring settings (you can hear a bit of surging/stutter in this video). Got that fixed by swapping out to the correct springs and now it's smooth. This video here is after fixing that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EF7HZn_hNRM.html (sorry about the loud whistle sound, I do not hear it in car, but with the microphone by the engine bay it picks that up lol In future videos I know how to minimize that sound now). Pretty soon i'll be getting some more parts and going Phase 2, and then larger turbo and Phase 3 after that.

@@DrivenDistrict awesome! I'm looking to buy one of these as a daily driver, hopefully this year. I have to admit the audible wastegate blowoff would get on my nerves, but that exhaust note is fantastic. Maybe even better than the Goodwin Racing exhaust.

Oh yea! Pulls much much stronger. I actually recorded some data when the car was completely stock and then again with the Phase 1 tune. I used the Dragy app and also recorded the speedometer. Not only can I feel it, but the data shows as well :) Soon i'll put that video together. Consider Subscribing if you haven't as I will be posting it in the future with more content on my car. What helps infulance that turbo flutter?

So the high pitched whistle on WOT, I had a really similar noise on my 500 Abarth and it would come and go with temp, sometimes it’d sound like a clown horn, sometimes a whistle...turned out to be 3-4 small air leaks at the very front of the car by the intercooler 😒.

Hmmm...in the near future i'll be upgrading the intercooler as I go for a more aggressive tune. I do know the factory 124 intercooler apparently has a lot of connections, but I was under the impression it's just the turbo sound being heavily amplified from being mic'd up (I have the mic under the hood). I don't really hear it inside while driving the car.

@@DrivenDistrict Ahh then maybe that’s it; I don’t hear it at all in my 500 and the bastard’s pretty loud (no tunes but stage 1/2 everything else) I’d be happy to email you the clips I have in case you run into the same issue! I was so close to getting a 124 but the price in the end came to be twice as much as I could cop my 500 for :) next car!

Mine has the upgraded Bose system and it's good but most the time when I'm driving it's either for performance testing or videos so it's been a while since I just cruised with music on loud lol From recollection it was perfectly fine though. You do get wind noise at speeds being a soft top convertible though.

Basic question here... Why isn't it straight-piped like the Abarth 595s are? What would the difference be?

We don’t get the 595 in the US. But the 124 Abarth is still quieter than the 500 Abarth that we get here. Not sure why they did that. An aftermarket exhaust fixes that problem though...plus a little extra power 😉
