Yeah, I used to do that in my "stock" 1965 F100 (that I still have, 40 years now) with the "stock" 455 olds motor I installed in 1981.. LOL

Very talented and dedicated. I would be proud to have this. This to me says more about the character of the character of the designer and builder than most are seeing. This is an epic project in design and implementation. A far above average person to pull this off. Good job, a nice truck.

Definitely not stock, for one they don't rec that high, but id still take that classic anyday. Plus that classic probably weighs half as much as that Silverado.

I had a ‘79 F-150, 302, I stomped a mud hole in a Chevy when I raced him back in high school in the ‘80’s. That 302 was a bad ass motor!

Got the temporary tag on the ford. You get a new toy you gotta play with it! Beat the shit out of it is probably a little more accurate but it has to be done for experimental purposes! The ford is definitely making some steam though. I love the 302, you can really make some HP with them and they're virtually bulletproof.

We owned a 1970 GMC 2500 4wd 3/4 ton truck. It's an insanely reliable vehicle which now belongs to a younger family member. It's equipped with a 350 V8, and for some reason that truck will flat out haul arse when you want it to. Great truck.

I own a 1968 F100 with a 390 and love it. It is not a racer. But, it has enough power to do the job and is reliable. When it does go down, it is easy to repair. Rebuilt motor about every 160 thousand miles, Only one transmission rebuild in over 500,000 miles. Just wish it looked as nice as that 69.

I’m 17 and my grandad have me a 1972 f100 and I just put a 358 ci Windsor that I built and it made 451 horsepower. The truck is fast. Only issue is I have a automatic and it holds it back so much. Would love a manual. The truck in this video is super sick also!

Yeah, that F100 has some knowledge under the hood, 😁 I'm a big GM fan and I love the ls engines, I also love the old school engines and that 302 held its own against that Silverado.

I still have my 2nd car I bought in June 1976. A 1969 Chevelle 350 with a 4 speed Muncie. Bucket seats and a rag top. Still having fun with it.

I had an 86 F150 with a 302, that sucker was strong AF. Even with the mechanical issues, I never found enough weight to hold it to the road.

That Ford had lungs. Once the kid found high gear it moved right on out like an FE block. Sounded like a old big block with that methodical power increase thru the rpm band. The smirk at the end was the icing on the cake, then the thumbs up by the Chevy passenger.

I had the '76 F100 in high school (mid 90s). It had a few bolt-ons to the engine ... nothing fancy... man that 302 was a beast!

That brings back some memories. I had a “76 Ford F-150 with a 390 in it. I tended to putt around like an old man when one day some guy in a Mercedes passed me and his wife gave me a look that I was trash. I passed them well into triple digit speed range and key banged their asses when I went past. Those straight pipes sure did throw good fireballs.

Personally, seemed like there was a little more displacement under the hood than was stated. Either way, 302’s are a blast, even when the donor for my small ranger came from the Mustang GT. Too much fun to drive around.

Im a GM guy, my buddy is a ford guy, we rag on eachother all the time and I get bustin his balls hard when we gotta work on his truck cause ford sucks to work on, an my truck still spanks it hard. but he still rags on me. if people cant take a joke then, hey there hangin with the wrong crowd. I have a 69 nova drag car, I run outlaws and nostalgia and were all doin the samething. its just good fun, keeps everyone on there toes. Its the people that are assholes about it that take the fun out of it.

I still drive a 76 F250 with a 390 out of a car swapped in it. The original automatic lasted 42 years. It still pulled but was disengaging at times. I am 51 and have never walked because of a Ford. I drove a 75 pulling a 33' loaded trailer from Louisiana to Alaska. Went places that it was 1000 miles to town.

As a teen and into my late 20s I owned some nice chevy pickups. Built one my dad bought me from frame up. I had it till I was 35. But in recent years I been really wanting a 70s Ford hiboy. All those years as diehard chevy guy. A friend had a 78 ford with built 460 in it. That's what I need now

That's SO funny! I had a 1970 F100 with a 302 back in the 70s. It would out pull any of my friends Chevys with 350s, easy! I tried to break the front end off of it. I jumped it out in the desert but never did break that old Twin I Beam front end. Far superior to anything Chevy had. I bought a 1973 F100 4X4, short bed, factory high boy after that. I still have it. My second truck, I was 2nd owner. I'm 66 now in 2020, lol. I've busted the spindles on 2 different occasions jumping it. It has all the best stuff in it, including a 1964 high nickel FE block, 390 bored .060 over, high compression pistons, complete Edelbrock performer package, Headman Headers and Flowmasters shotgunned out the side, 4 spd with a New Process 205 transfer case conversion I did along with power steering and disc brakes from a 78 F150. It's got a power Trax Lockright Locker in the back with a beefed housing, (since I've bent them before too rock crawling), it'll climb a tree and pull down a house (I actually did pull down a house with it!) LOL! I've done all the work myself, except the engine rebuild itself. It draws a lot of attention wherever I go. That's it in my pic. Ford Trucks Forever! (At Least Til the Day I Die!) LOL

There's a lot of people saying the ford is not stock. It is. It's kind of obvious by the way the truck lurches. built 302s don't give the body time to lurch that way, the springs recoil and the ass end steps out. He's definitely regeared tho. People seem to forget how Ford became feared in street racing and it has everything to do with the f100s and 302s. They were unbeatable for a long time.
