I have read though some PDFs on this stuff and one research paper focused on its use as lubricant ingredient. 160 page nerdfest 😅 And yes their conclusion was that WS2 is the best solid surface friction modifier we have currently. Also one of the best engine oil additives Archoil 9200 V2 is based on Tungsten and Ester so there is your proof that it works in the real world 😉 I'm going to buy some of this stuff as a powder
One this is not how engines work. Two this amount of tungsten disulfide will degrade catalytic converters. I would say 300 to maximum 1000 parts per million might be safer for a cars overall function. You can calculate parts per million with a somewhat easy equation. Thank you for the video

This way of testing oils is not very reliable. To test the oils there are methodologies adopted at an international level that guarantee concrete and analysable results. At first I was very curious to follow this channel but I soon realized that it is really a waste of time. I express my opinion as a mechanical engineer who has worked for quite a few years in research and development in the automotive sector.
@@Malossianoplus Tu hai chiesto su marchi italiani buoni, se ci metti quelli tedeschi e ci lavoro nell´industria automobilistica qua aggiungi il Mannol se lo portano in Italia, e Ravenol solo gli USVO sn a triplice base pao, Mannol é come i v300 di Motul ma ad un terzo del prezzo, le versioni racing di Ravenol hanno dentro molibdeno e tungsteno come antiattrito, motul e mannol no, poi ci sn i francesi xeramic cn nitruro di boro dentro, ottimi sn anche i royal purple, altri italiani HTM sempre a base di esteri e tungsteno ma nn hai scelta solo i classici racing hanno. @@Lieburner ho chiesto se era italiano.. xD Royal purple non è per niente buona. Olio base hc e pieno di zolfo, non utile per chi ha sistemi di post trattamento gas scarico. Mannol usa solo base hc. Motul solo il 300v usa pao e un po estere. Tutti gli altri usano solo base hc con il 2% di pao che non è nulla. Ravenol vollysintetic ha almeno un 40/50% di pao e come prezzo è abbastanza buono. Io uso genericamente lo shell ultra che ha base gtl, superiore alla normale base hc e leggermente inferiore al pao. Inoltre il prezzo è basso.
