I always liked the ford lightning..shes a BAD BISSSHHHH!!!! Thanks for bringing it to the channel and going through the data log with us. Good stuff andrew!
Love how you show real usable info for guys that have no clue , your car has made me sale my fox to start another new edge build for the fam to play in , Thanks keep the vids coming !!!
I think someone is going to be buying a lightning lol. There great trucks I love mine maybe even a little more than my 04 cobra. Great video hope thinks work out with your car.
MIKE J lucky man two of my dream vehicles almost got a 02 lightning when I was 16 would’ve been a bad ass first truck atm I am looking for one hopefully I find a 03-04 hopefully in Sonic Blue or DSG with decent mileage
I didn't realize a Coyote intake manifold would fit on a 5.4 4V motor. That's a one of a kind build for sure! That low bracket for the 4 link set-up, and loud exhaust would drive me nuts, but as long as it tears up the track it'd be worth it though.
Thanks for sharing this video. It was a good explanation of what was going on. The low RPM fuel pressure seemed low to me for a mod motor. It also looks like he had -6 fuel lines off of the pressure regulator. I'd think that at this power level -8 or larger would be needed. I'm not hating, just surprised that it ran so well the way it was. Good job.
split the afr command/avg into left and right banks. Its dangerous imho to not see afr separately. Its how to double check that your fuel is equal and not leaning out one bank or the other.
@@andrewlavender08 haha no worries,i actually noticed a 4.40 1/8 car at the with same issue wasnt getting down the track and told him and next pass right down!
Do you have to pay a yearly fee to use Holly's tuning software on Terminator or dominator, and is software on laptop only married to one unit, or can you hook your laptop from one stand alone to another from Holly,
Isn't that Boss 302 intake manifold going to hold it back from putting up big numbers? That's going to restrict the turbo. He needs a custom made sheet metal one.
Hey Andrew I'm a lightning owner running the 2v trickflow with built shortblock which will be finished by MHS soon and was checking out the Holley ECU. I'll be around 750 wheel hp when done on e85. I'll still drive it on 93 occassionally. I really liked the flexibly and have never tuned before what would you suggest to learn how to tune and get to where I can eventually do it all myself?
Jared Tillman start with a car that’s not that built like your lightning don’t wanna blow it (I’m not a tuner but I dont think you want your truck to blow a motor
Jared Tillman definitely get the Holley Ecu. There are a lot of threads online concerning Holley efi that will walk you through the entire tuning process. I would read through all of those threads and possibly take a few tuning classes if you can afford it.
I don't like it. Stock 2003 L owner. I just don't like it, it is not what it's supposed to sound like. Mine has always ran rich. I am so upset that I let a mechanic touch it in MKE. "But stock boost is 8 psi". It has always done 12psi. Buy one of these if you can; but be able to do everything on it.
