i,m half tunisian and let you know this with taking TDN out was years ago. I was born and grew up in Switzerland. Was in Sousse for 23 nights in 2022. In the end I took 24 dinars with me to Switzerland. Everything without any problems. The receipt also said if you don't live in Tunisia you can carry 10,000 dinars. That would be around 2950€/Chf. Salute you from Chur ;)
Brilliant video - excellant descision to include prices . Unlike many other vids you showed what it looks like unlike so many others that spend most of the time with the camera pointed at themselves Excellant video very watchable - now subed - ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
@MelinaKim, I really mean it. You seem to have an extraverted intuition dominant personality maybe, focusing more on actions and experiences rather than feelings in the moment. After watching your detailed and practical video on starting a RU-vid channel, I'm inspired to start my own. Perhaps one day we'll collaborate. Keep making RU-vid content-I'm sure you'll eventually hit the sweet spot, and your channel will boom.
@@selimbalti4527 I appreciate your thoughtful feedback! I've been trying out different video topics, but I always aim to include as many practical and useful tips as possible. It's wonderful to know that you're inspired to start your own channel-all the best!
as a tunisian , i prefer tunsia visiting soussa which is a city in the middle of tunisia famous by a town called el kantaoui its a nice city to explore especially in summer if you adore the sun and the beach
Very informative video and thanks for including the information about the prices. Loved it. Couple of questions if you can please help 1: You mostly went by a cab but I wonder if you needed a guide to visit these tourist attractions or you just did it by yourself? 2: You shared the prices for the cabs and food but what about tipping? How much is expected to tip the cab drivers, hotel staff and restuarant servers etc. ? Thanks
Thank you very much! Here are the answers to your questions: 1. We explored mostly on our own without a guide. But if you want to learn more in-depth about the places and depending on your preferences, you might want to consider hiring a guide. Below are some options we considered: www.viator.com/tours/Tunis/Private-Day-Tour-on-Medina-of-Tunis-La-Goulette-Carthage-Sidi-Bousaid/d30157-327700P11?pid=P00164162&mcid=42383&medium=link www.viator.com/tours/Tunis/Private-excursion-to-Kairouan-El-Jem-and-Monastir-from-Tunis/d30157-327700P3?pid=P00164162&mcid=42383&medium=link 2. While tipping is appreciated, I don't think it's obligatory in Tunisia. Since we had to pay in cash in most places and I didn't always have exact change, I usually rounded up and gave 5-10% extra. But again, I don't think it's required :)
In order to go to tourist attractions you can use a cab or TCV which is a private and comfortable bus usually parked in "la passage" area and leaves every half an hour starting from 8 clock. For 2 point : Please never tip in a taxi and avoid Bolt in case you find a normal taxi because it is more expensive than a normal taxi, or just check other apps like Yassir and Indrive to know approximatively the right price and use whatever suits you. If you'd like to tip, that would be for the honest taxi drivers that give the right price since the beginning. For servers, there are ones who accept and others who don't ! if the bill comes 48dt or a little above 45 than 50dt is fine but no more than that ... Wish you an upcoming great trip in Tunisia
Don't tip any taxi driver in Tunisia 🇹🇳 they already take the exact amount of trip ..for hotels and restaurants tips is up to you it's not obligatory In Tunisia, we don't like taking money from other people without make them a service But there are alot of foreigner residents in Tunisia who are asking for tips or they are begging for money ( basically the Syrians and black Africans they literally are causing us shame) don't ever give them money if they do ask you ..also pushy sellers the majority are libyans and Algerians also don't deal withem if you come to my country ...just pay for the service or the food don't tip anyone
Welcome to Tunisia! I'm Tunisian, and I'm surprised about the price of the SIM card. In some places, they give SIM cards for free, so maybe it's because it's a 5G card, but I'm not sure
It get as hot as 53 degree Last summer at some point it was the hottest place in the world and the hottest degree ever been recorded in Africa Do not go there in June!!! Just go in late summer or in spring

You missed on many other local dishes.. You should have tried Tunisian couscous, pasta, tajine, chorba also other street food like mlewi,chapati,fricasse.. Tunisian cuisine is very rich and diverse I hope you enjoyed your stay :))
Welcome to Tunisia! You must try the traditional Tunisian food, not just the fast food. I hope you enjoyed your time here and that you come back again to explore more of Tunisia's rich history. Be sure to visit the museums, mosques, historical sites, and classy places.
Glad you managed to explore and have good time outdoors despite the cruel heat xd. I have always wondered how the hotel looks like from inside (as a tunsian) so thanks for showing it. Great video
Thank you! I went in mid-late September so I think the weather wasn't as bad as going in the middle of the summer :) The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed our time in Tunisia!🥰
You missed dozens of traditional dishes. Here in Tunisia, you could eat a different meal every day for a year and still not have tried everything! We have some of the best food in the world. Also, if you had asked or done a bit of research, you would have discovered many incredible places to visit, like the Sahara Desert, the forests in Ain Draham, or the beautiful beaches in nearby Bizerte and Nabeul, which are only about 55 km away. I hope you enjoy your trip, and next time, please ask for suggestions to have an even more amazing experience.
You missed a lot of breath taking spot in the capital Tunis like Gammarth marsa also you should have done an archeology tour in Carthage and Bardo museum we have the largest collection of mosaic tile. The food you didn't try a much of variety. Welcome back to Tunisia
Not everywhere reaches the highest temperature. We lived in La Marsa (close to the sea) for a year. The temperatures were easily bearable. Absolutely love the country and are hoping to get back there to live for a few years.
@@Britabroad877 also, electricity costs a lot, and we had to opt for paychecks, especially during summer when there is lots of air conditioning usage... Yet we use fan to save electricity...
Dear melina welcome to tunisia! But dear you didn't visit the good places in tunisia I hope you get an other opportunity to visit again and go to the nice places because to be honest apart from sidi bousaid all the other places you went to I personally never go to ! If you ever want to visit again I'll recommend you all the nice places 😊
I used Bolt, which is a taxi app. Alternatively, you can try negotiating the fare with the taxi drivers at the airport or check if your hotel offers a shuttle service. Safe travels!
7:15 The way he eats the bread with the harissa is so funny. The best way to do it is to take a tiny piece of that bread and "scoop it up" in harissa with your hand!
Taxis in Tunisia are yellow Every taxi has a red and green lighting device, the red is available and the green is busy Just raise your hand and say taxi ☺️
