How you end depends on what you use this technique for. Often I make a round of single crochets to finish off if it is something like a bag or pouch of any kind. Or if you ar making something that needs closed up like a pillow, I would fold it into two and close by crocheting or sewing the sides together.

Hi again Tuula! Thanks for the tutorial. I am getting in to tunisian crochet now, because I love learning new techniques. I am wondering what the reason is that one needs bigger tunisian hooks than if it was regular crochet? Thank you for the video as always!

Great, Tunisian crochet is fun! Normally people use a bit bigger hook (some even a lot bigger) for Tunisian because the stitch texture is such that it tends to pull it very tight.

The hook I'm using here is no brand, just a cheap one I have picked up somewhere, aluminium.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to make this video. There are very few 'in-the-round' honeycomb Tunisian... I have a question: you are doing spiral tech and continuing with the stitch without joining. So after the last st. of the 1st pass you go into 1st vertical bar of the 2nd round as normal THEN make a CHAIN stitch (?! ) but you do not do this in the following rounds...? Since you didn't denote the reason for the difference I am wondering if it is a mistake? Or what/why the chain stitch is needed just the one time going from round one to round two? I find the two color honeycomb in the round hats glorious and thank you so much for making this easy to follow tutorial!

I suppose that is because I'm not a person to do things exactly. If there is a chain or not doesn't make any difference.
