Hi Flexx , would you know if these turbo muffler delete-part also exist for a c200 diesel 😅 i´m searching all over the net but can´t find one anywhere 🤷♂️ maybee you could help me out or something ?😅
Yeh...as mentioned in the video...it will increase responsiveness and some additional turbo sound from the engine since the stock turbo muffler's job is just to muffle the sound coming outta the turbo.
If you are speaking about the OEM turbo muffler…then yes, it’s possible but I wouldn’t. The shape of the a cut up oem muffler still doesn’t flow as well as a cone shape, also you run the risk of metal shavings/pieces breaking off, flowing through the turbo charge pipes and intercooler and potentially into the Intake manifold. Even the tiniest metal shavings can cause major major engine issues.
Isnt that air filter sucking all the hot air from the engine? I own a cl203 1.8L kompressor but I think I'm gonna do a change this summer since It's so expensive and hard to 'upgrade' anything on it... still having second thoughts because I really love it. I think a bigger intercooler, a straight pipe and a pulley kit would do a trick but not much... 143 hp stock, maybe with those and an ecu soft will go up to 170 (my guess) still not enough, but I can spin the hell out of it every time I try a donut or anything :)) weird .... PS: Cheers
No it doesn’t. The turbo muffler is after the turbo and doesn’t affect how the turbo spools. It only allows the air coming outta the turbo to be less turbulent went entering the charge pipe to the intercooler.
I've seen it done but there's always a risk of (1) hurting yourself in cutting the stock turbo muffler, and (2) ruining the integrity of the stock turbo muffler and a piece of it can break off and get sucked into your engine and causing some major damage. I personally wouldn't risk it for the little benefits it provides. Even if you bought a turbo muffler like in my video, it's not a drastic improvement. It will only be beneficial if you have more mods..and all those mods working together to get the best outta the cars performance. Same concept with an intake kit. Alone...it's not much a of change...but in combination with other upgrades (turbo muffler delete, turbo charge pipes, intercooler, tune)...then it makes a big difference.
Depends. As long as it’s not like a ton. There’s an oil line that feeds oil to the turbo to lubricate it. Sometimes, that oil get forced out of the turbo along with the air through the turbo muffler, into the turbo charge pipe and then into the Intercooler. Too much oil equals turbo failure/possible failure. Some slight oil is normal. If you are concerned, have a professional tech look at it.
Will this fit on my 2013 Mercedes C250 sport sedan? This part is on amazon but it says that it won't fit on a car thats has an intercooler. My car has an intercooler which they probably all do.
Is this worth the buy or should I just buy the diverted valve? I’d like to increase the sound of the turbo more. I’d also like to know if the difference is. Noticeable or not
You can’t get alot of turbo sound on the c250. You can only get sound related to excess air purging. And that’s with an open style intake or a blow off valve.
Well you never specified. You are commenting on a w204 video. The general assumption is you are talking about a w204 c300. On top of that, newer c300 don’t have a turbo muffler to even delete, that’s why no video was made on it.
No worries. There’s some things the new c300 can have that the old c250 4cyl engine don’t have. And some the c250 had that the new c300 doesn’t have. But you know me, I do as much as I can to be both cars that’s easy to medium to do. If there isn’t a video on it on my channel, then it probably doesn’t exist or it’s hard to do and requires a pro.
You’ll have nothing for the turbo charge pipe to mount onto. The round edge of the muffler is what the turbo charge pipe mounts too. You can see it clearly in the video. The new turbo muffler has the same cylindrical edge like the oem one for the turbo charge pipe to mount to.
Yes you can Just take old resonator out and you will have 4 screws on resonator Take membrane out screw it back together and that’s it Plus no money needed 👌👌
Hey brother I installed a muffler delete on my c20. I noticed that when I pulled off the oem part there was oil in the tubing and inside where the muffler delete goes in. Is that normal?
It’s not gonna give you turbo spooling sound. The C250 doesn’t allow that regardless what you do. It might have a tad more turbo sound but that’s it. The mod is more about better airflow. The only sound you can get outta this car is air purging sound and that’s either with an open filter style intake or a blow off valve in which I have a video for both.
It’s not gonna give that much sound. You want sound, get a blow off valve. The benefits of better flowing, less turbulent air coming out of the turbo is the main reason anyone should get a turbo muffler delete. Not because of sound increase.
aye I have a 2014 c250 I already added a tornado tuning turbo delete and was wondering in your opinion would it sound better if I deleted the resonator, exhaust and down pipe or just delete resonator and put a flowmaster super 10 on? Or whatever the best combo is it’s confusing to me cuz it’s such a different sound from my challenger. Please lmk
Hey my man! Just came across your channel. I’m in Australia. Just bought a C250 2012 and would like to purchase some of the parts you suggest. Do your retailer friends ship to Australia?
Get a code reader and pull the check engine light code to diagnose the real problem. Can’t just blame mods for a check engine light. It could be anything or even a bad install. Again, only way to truly know is get the code pulled. A check engine light could be anything. Might even be something completely unrelated to the mods.
Wait so did you remove the muffler tip magnaflow or the other one you put in from the exhaust you installed. So we Soudnt use a muffler tip but just use a muffler delete?
Did you even watch the video? Cause this video is clearly about a turbo muffler. It has zero to do with an exhaust muffler. The term “muffler” is not always related to an exhaust. A pillow is even considered a muffler cause it can muffle sound.
@@TheFlexxGarage ah okay cool, sorry flexx I got confused, so your saying having to have the magnaflow installed which is totally separate and also to do a muffler delete. I'm in hospital with covid and get alot of brain fog. However I am loving your videos and have bought, 2018 steering upgrade, android screen, magnaflow muffler, ambient lights, a keyless go aftermarket system for a W218 CLS 350. Being a V6 I'm hoping the sound is much better.
