We install a BOV on Doug's turbo YXZ and do some 0-60mph runs with the dragy! Spoiler alert: it's QUICK! / sxsblog www.sxsblogparts.com/ sxsblog.com/shop/
I’ve watch this video 5-6 times already. Love it. Seeing the excitement on Doug’s face is priceless. I’m so jealous but at the same time I’m not. It’s because you guys are good, genuine, down to earth likable guys, That’s why I’m not. Keep being real and well grounded and your success will surely continue. Oh, and absolutely love those new wheels and tires, first 3 times I watched this I thought they were just stock ones painted. Keep us updated on yxz progression please. Thank you SXSblog for bringing a smile to my face on a day that work sucked.
The SXS blog YXZ turbo project should help breath new excitement into the newly released turbo option that Yamaha has now on the YXZs! Now get to work on that Honda turba!!!!!
Growing up riding as kids every time you would ride something with wheels you would make the exact sound that thing makes, shifting and all! That YXZ is awesome!
As an older guy from the drag racing world the sound of Doug going through the gears in that machine just sounds so right...and it rips for sure. Happy for you Doug.
Such an incredible improvement... Our Yamahammer needs this. Everyone else in our channel is starting to rock turbo buggies. This makes me want to throw one on.
WOW ! what a difference in times from 9's to 3's and it's not even fully tuned in yet ! I said it before and I'll say it again job very well done Doug !
Doug killing it again! heck yea boys 1k away from 70k got to get you guy to 100k this year. This channel never disappoints and I do not even own a SXS lol.110% everytime !!!!!!
That thing sounds absolutely awesome!! Glad you finally got the Yamaha back up and running Doug. I'm taking my grizzly 700 up to our family's cabin in North central PA this weekend to do some riding, can't hardly wait
Awesome video. After owning many Yamaha atv’s it makes me proud to see your Yamaha ripping it up. Also my kids enjoyed seeing my name in the credits at the end lol.
Awesome build Doug. With the planned boost you want to achieve, I suggest welding a bead on each side of your BOV stainless pipe to give your clamps a little more bite. Should prevent that sucker from ever slipping off. Keep sending ‘er buds! 👍🏻
Brother you do kick ass work and when you didn't think you was in the 3's I was like bulshit your shifting was on point man, that's one hell of a machine brother and thanks for the great videos💪💪💪👍👍👍👊👊👊 will be hard to beat by any of those👍👍👍👍
@SXSBlog.com FYI get that BOV sorted before continuing to boost on the yxz. If the there is no valve to release pressure in the intake tract after the throttle body closes, it will stall the compressor wheel in the turbo, causing high shock loads and bad for seals. Stalling the wheels repeatedly like that is a really good way to kill the turbos life. Its been years since i was reading the twin turbo forums for my car, but im 95% sure that is correct. Turns out BOVs are for more than impressing brenda at the KFC drive thru ( It will also lag less after shifting bc turbo will still have some rpms )
Doug I have a boosted yxz with the mpi kit, I’m looking to do an aftermarket exhaust for this kit, what does this one have? Btw love the channel. Absolutely my favorite!🤘🏼
@@tootightconcepts747 I had the same unit, I sent my ECU to EVO a few years back , with just a k&n filter and a slip on exhaust u can definitely feel the difference on the butt dyno was keeping up with my buddies in their rzr 1000s at the time
I come home from a crappy day's at work and I see a notification for a new video from sxsblog.com so I click on it and next thing you know I'm forgetting about work and laughing along with you guys as if I'm right there with you, maybe it should be sxsblog/therapy.com for a 0% discount!!!! Love the vid's
