so the socket cap screw (number 14 on the tk10-r diagram)on my tk10-r is bent and whenever i spin up the turbo the impeller wobbles. so could you make an option to buy specific parts? because i need a new socket cap screw. Also why are the blades on the CNC Alluminum impeller in THE OPPOSITE direction than the others? is that why my turbo isn't creating airflow on the cold side? last of all is it possible for you to make an aluminum version of the SHF impeller and turbine? i know i have said a lot but i hope you see this....
turbokeychains.com is the official store. Y-O-K-I is correct, SHF impellers have the highest pitch spooling sound. All ball bearing units have a warranty.
If it rattles/crunches a lot there may be contamination in the bearings. If it doesn't clear up, rebuilding/replacing the bearings is possible. We use the standard FR2-5ZZ (or ceramic equivalent) bearing. If buying bearings from elsewhere, make sure they aren't greased. AF2 or some other light oil is okay, but grease will prevent from spinning. If you do happen to get greased bearings, soak them in rubbing alcohol to strip the grease sometimes works.
I’m putting a compound turbo setup like this on my nitro rc truck. I need to know wether the specs for the TK10-R’s inlet and outlets wether they are inner diameter or outer diameter because it doesnt say on the website...
The current units are designed as a keychain to minimize production/end user costs - they don't provide any useful boost. Soon I'll be releasing a design that will allow anyone to 3d print or purchase (in aluminum) a light weight more realistic version. It still may not be functional, but will flow more air and be a lot lighter for RC applications.
Hello , do you imagine eventually one could create even a semi functional turbo to mount to a four stroke model engine ? Can the 10k-r be modified that way ? They are charming ! .
Could you guys post up a compound turbo set up video please? One TK10-R with 7 blade cnc wheel and the other one with the 14blade cnc wheel?as it's what I want to order to do a turbo rc but you guys dont currently ship to nz
@@rang0_5214 the connectors are available on the website shapeways which is listed in the description of the TK10-R, rubber cement is required for connection and no boost leaks.
